Someone in Vegas on reddit once mentioned they worked at Planet Hollywood and said Britney Spears would order a lot of flowers to design bouquets to pass time because she wasn't allowed to go out much and it seemed she was very lonely and isolated.

I have never been a fan of Britney Spears music, but as someone who has Bi-Polar, BPD and PTSD, I have empathized with her from the first noticeable signs of illness. She needed treatment and those around her instead didn't want to mess with THEIR gravy train. She will never be "normal", I know, I speak from experience, but she is, as far as I can tell, doing as best as she can now and I hope she continues to improve and finds some true happiness in her life.

Dual diagnosis persons get helped without being shut out of real life! There are programs that help and transition one to independent life. She was like a captive person who made lots of cash for many many people. Thank God she’s free to go through stages and pick ourselves back up.

A friend of mine told me this story when he used to work at a film studio and one of the guys he worked with was closely related to Mel Gibson. One time Gibson ended up hanging out with them - drinking, smoking, shooting the s**t. Gibson told them that he hated Harvey Weinstein, then said was a scumbag and had a weird f****d up mushroom penis. He also said he was a "really weird gross creep with women" and said something else to imply what we all know to be true now, but stopped short of outright calling him a serial [predator]. He also said everyone in Hollywood knew about it.
That was 2013-2014 or so.

He didn't "blow it" he's got a heartbreaking medical condition that was largely ignored in favor of keeping him cranking out progressively worse action flicks. His symptoms likely began way back in 2010, but because Kevin smith had his nerd boner deflated when working with willis on Cop Out, he publicly dragged him through $hit in 2011...and after that every single warning sign that anyone saw was chalked up to willis being an a$$hole. Refusing to learn lines, ignoring co-stars, and crew members, mood swings and outbursts, showing up late, or locking himself in his trailer. After 30 years as one of the most successful actors in the game, EVERYONE just assumed he became a diva, and as the movies got worse it re-enforced the assumption. Even kevin smith was able to connect those dots once the announcement was made.

Remember when Mira Sorvino started doing really bad movies, religious garbage and B-movies? I ignorantly believed she had turned into a religious fanatic. Instead, it's because she was blacklisted by that rapist Weinstein and was taking what little work she could get. When I heard Willis was doing a whole bunch of mediocre movies, I made the same mistake, ignorantly thinking "he doesn't want to work anymore, just takes direct-to-video paycheques for his name". It's only in the last year I heard he was banking as much as possible before his brain failed him. If I were to meet either, I'd owe and give them HUGE apologies. It makes me glad I'm a nobody so that people never heard me say this before.

I was really shocked to read the first time about, the now deflecting, diagnosis and than last year about the illness Bruce Willis is really suffering from. I havr to say I'm not a great cineast and in my European country US movies are dubbed anyway. So no chance, despite the acting, to notice any symptoms, as his "dubbing-voice" enjoys, to my knowledge good health. So it was really a shocking message (probably around the time when they took back that Razzie-Award).

Went to high school in Latin America from 98-02; there were rumors of Ricky Martin being gay long before he came out in 2010.
For the record, I'm happy that he's able to live his truth openly now.

I had a friend who was a limo driver that really enjoyed pushing people's buttons; let's call him Mike. Now Mike drove a lot of big stars around. Back in the 90's, he was driving Ricky Martin, who said that he wanted to go to Subway (a sandwich stop). So Mike, being Mike, took him to the Subway in Dupont Circle, then the gayest neighborhood in Washington, DC. Ricky went into Subway to order his own sandwich. Of course, a couple of girls in line got all excited, jumping up and down in glee, saying they always knew he was gay. Ricky handled the joke well and accused Mike of doing it on purpose which, of course, was completely true. The anecdote made me suspect that Ricky is a class act. Calling back to the Shia LeBeouf post, Mike was the paparazzi that Shia chased down and threw his coffee on, also in Dupont Circle.

Was this really a suprise? I remember everyone in the end of the 90s/early 00s was more than sure he was gay. Not that this should have been any of our business - but those had been different times. And sometimes it really seemed heartbreaking to read in the yellow press what he did to aapear straight. When he eventually came out I simply thought: Good for him. Hope he lives a much happier life now.

I started disliking Ellen when he had her producer or whatever staff he was in different ploys. Don't remember his name, maybe Andy? Like he was easily scared, so she made him tour a ghost house and ride the roller coaster, he screamed in genuine fear and she laughed and laughed. Those sections was so mean-spirited.

I had a chance to meet Cosby a few years before everything came out. He was doing a stand up show in town and came into the radio station I worked at. I did 10 to 6 though and qoulda had to come in a little early... didn't see the point. Feel justified not giving a f**k now when everyone else was obsessed with meeting him. Also one dude brought in pudding pops to get Cosby to sign them and apparently though he did sign them he was a real jackass about it and visibly pissed off.

When I was in High School in the 70s, in English class, we were having a discussion on what Hollywood stars were hot (not sure how that conversation started). Anyway, one of the students asked our teacher Miss W. if she thought Rock Hudson was hot. She said, "Yes, but he's gay". Everyone was shocked and asked how she knew. "I have a lot of gay friends and they always talk about who in Hollywood is gay and they tell me he's gay".
What's amazing is this was pre-internet. We were in the Midwest in a small town. The only gay people we knew at the time were the Village People and perhaps Paul Lynne. (The fact that our teacher had gay friends was a shocker) At the time, my best friend was gay and in the closet (even to me). How this tidbit travelled is pretty remarkable.

I'm old enough to have watched him on first run episodes of Hollywod Squares, and I'm pretty sure that I knew even though I was still young enough to not really have much of a clue in general. When I see reruns now it's so obvious that it had to have been extremely common knowledge at the time. Same with Liberace. Pretty much everybody knew, and if anybody was bothered that was the secret. Oddly enough, I also had an English teacher make a comment about it in junior high. I don't remember which grade, but it was sometime after "Pretty Maids All in a Row" came out (no pun intended) in 1971, and had to be before I finished 9th grade in June '72. I know it was after PMAAIR because the teacher made a (totally unprovoked and irrelevant) comment along the lines of hearing that Hudson might have preferred if it was pretty guys all in a row. Not the only bizarre thing that teacher did, either. The teacher never offered any reason for the comment or how/where he would have gotten any information.

Our friend left the concert very early and said, she couldn't remember the words to her songs, was slurring her words, and appeared totally messed up. Okay, here’s how I missed a good — and true — celebrity rumor in progress.
I was in New Orleans, volunteering at a college trivia competition. The whole tournament staff went out to dinner, drank hurricanes, and had a good time. After dinner a few of us headed into a bar, but at that point I was tired and really didn’t want to drink any more, so I immediately excused myself and went back to the hotel.
Next morning a couple of my fellow staffers told me I’d just missed, by a few minutes, Jude Law walking into the bar. I’m about as far from being a movie person as is humanly possible, but I did know who Jude Law was, so I just remarked that it must have been cool to see an actual film star in the bar, and thought no more of it ….
… until reading later that Jude Law had been photographed in a New Orleans bar with a woman not his fiancee. He was hooking up with his kids’ nanny, and of course for the next month it was on the front page of every tabloid rag in every supermarket on the planet.
So, yeah, I missed a good paparazzi moment. But I got a good night’s sleep, which IMO was a lot more enjoyable.

Around 2010 my friend, a massage therapist, had a guest staying in his hotel who creeped him out so much that he refused to service him again after the second day, even though the guy was leaving a 300€ tip each session. When he told his manager he didn't want to work for this guest anymore, the manager was baffled and told him it was a celebrity staying for our hometown Film Festival.

I went to college with a kid from Long Island who grew up around Lindsay lohan... He said her family was completely insane and that she'd probably go insane too. Um. Eminem made jokes about the R. Kelly peeing in the song "A*s Like That" back in 2004, and about him being with underaged girls in the song My 1st Single. Both on the Encore album. Bizarre made a joke about it too on the track Outro from Obie Trice's 2003 album Cheers. So people knew about R. Kelly way before 2016, even publicly.

This was a while ago but I knew that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s marriage was in trouble years before they filed for divorce. A friend of my mother’s works at Teterboro, which is the small airport near NYC that handles small/private planes, so lots of celebrities fly in and out of there. (He’s seen plenty of stuff but this is the only story I know.) No one can blame anyone for “getting “ someone on drugs. The person gotten had to make the choice to do it. No one has to make all the blame on one person; in a choice like drugs, two people make that choice. One has a choice and can choose to refuse. It wasn’t until I was in my late 50s and having severe pain issues that I even tried THC. A friend came in the house, I was crying from the pain. He walks up, hands me a gummy and tells me to eat it. But, it’s not legal, or likely to be where I live. I wasn’t made to take it, I chose to do so. Now Bobby Brown, I believe, was cruel, maybe abusive to her. He is not a good person. She still had to have chosen to take the drugs. Even under duress, you have a choice. Not saying it’s not exceedingly difficult, I don’t know if I could do it.

First, aviation is also a well-regulated community, and it's wildly unlikely that a pilot would have identified the passenger in need of medical help even if they new which passenger it was. Flight attendants would have had things to do, so it's even more unlikely that one of them would have been calling anybody to tell them "Carrie Fisher just died on my plane". A passenger could potentially have made a phone call while taxiing, but that's not part of the small world of aviation. The most important clue that this is b******t is that she didn't die until 4 days after the plane landed.

It wasn’t a rumor. But I was an extra on an episode of Criminal Minds about ten years ago. AJ Cook (who played JJ) would always wear this big, puffy jacket backwards between takes. It was April and pretty warm out. I remember thinking, “she’s got to be pregnant.” Why else would you be wearing a big jacket that covered your front.

I read about the Indonesian tsunami from boaters who recognized a compression wave passing them at the deep sea. They didn't know that the city of Aceh would be completely inundated and so many people killed, but they did know something very bad could be about to happen. I read about the destruction of the space shuttle when people saw bits of light shedding from it; they didn't know for certain it was about to explode, but they were certainly scared it was going to (or had). There's always confusion in these stories; One day I heard an enormous explosion, felt the ground shake and then a sound like fighter jets overhead. It took me years to accept the official story that they never scrambled jets in DC on 9-11, and what I actually heard and felt was the explosion itself.
