When it comes to getting attention, cats are for sure not beggars, but choosers. Humans find these little mammalian fluffballs hard to resist, and there’s no surprise there. Their cute-but-stoic face, their beautiful fur and elegant poses, all of them make it seem that cats just beg to be touched. But don’t make this mistake, folks. Cats, being the constant center of attention, rarely lack affection, and it’s up to them to decide when they want it.

Muji, this four-year-old cat from South Korea, perfectly illustrates the point. Though he is as cute and lovely as any other cat, Muji takes his alone time seriously, and shows it very expressly. Recently, one moment where Muji refused his owner’s cuddles went viral on the internet, and many, especially cat owners, found it funny and relatable. So let’s see what the fuss was all about.

For all of you baka gaijins out there, “tsundere” means “a stock love interest who is usually stern, cold, and sometimes hostile to the person they like and others. They will occasionally let slip their warm and loving feelings hidden inside. They hide their feelings due to being shy, nervous, insecure, or simply unable to help acting badly in front of their crush.

The Japanese term ‘tsundere refers to an outwardly violent character who ‘runs hot and cold,’ alternating between two distinct moods: ‘tsuntsun’ meaning ‘aloof or irritable’, and ‘deredere’ meaning ‘lovey-dovey.'”

There’s a reason why cats don’t like to cuddle sometimes. First of all, they might consider it disrespectful. Imagine doing your thing and then getting kidnapped for no reason! Second, humans sometimes don’t realize how big they look to cats—sometimes the experience may be too smothering for their liking. Some cats also didn’t socialize much with humans in their younger days, so they might even consider it an act of threat.

Just a random idea, but these two cats would for sure be a good duo in some sort of anime. Imagine a silly ginger ‘deredere’ cat with an arrogant, white ‘tsuntsun’ cat: the adventures they would have, the interactions, the dialogue… It would be epic. Anyway. One could only wish for it. Let’s hope this hilarious moment between them might spark an idea to someone who’s able to execute it.

My cats would murder me if I trapped their head and got in their face like that. Learn what your cat is and isn't comfortable with. They all have their own personalities and preferences.

while cats share traits with many other cats, they have the potential to be extremely unique, displaying behavior that's unlike almost any other cat; and yes, you do need to learn what yours likes, dislikes, and will tolerate

My cat is actually coming every single morning to touch my nose with his for half a second. He come to my bed, jump for this litle kiss and go to the kitche to wait for food. I does it only once a day. Go figure.

Exactly, I have had cats (domesticated and Feral, they want to be able to trust you, and the human has to move slow and steady until you see them start to relax, and do really slow movement, it might help with Tuna, Chicken, any other protein and move slow, one movement at a time and do the slow blink. They will melt in your arms soon to read their body language and not press it. Just set there with them and as long as it takes without startling the animal. Good Luck. You can also Google questions. If I may, I agree that breeding animals with genetic health problems purely for looks is a terrible thing to do, but there are many of these cats that are already alive regardless of ethics. They deserve loving homes just as much as a cat without these health issues. Rather than attacking people who give them love while they're living this life with us, maybe turn that anger toward ways to stop the people who DO bring them into this world forcefully. Scoffing at the existence of an animal that didn't ask to be here won't stop the problem.

I am so sick of people promoting cat and dog breeds with deformed charitaristics, especially when they are 'trendy' like pugs and Scottish folds. Causing something to be in pain because you like the way they look is just selfish cruelty. For anyone that doesn't know, cats with folded ears look like this because they have a genetic weakness of the cartilage. Their ears basically collapse under their own weight. This weakness affects all cartilage in their body, not just ears, leading to joint problems and chronic pain.

Actually I am concerned this is not genetically a Scottish Fold. There appear to be red baby pins holding the ears down in the first picture. I'm afraid the ears were manually made to look this way.

And I'm sick of idiots saying these animals are in pain. You've all just jumped on the latest bandwagon of perceived "abuse" without knowing s**t about what you're talking about. 99% if these animals are healthy, happy and feeling fine. Only those bred outside the breed standard... say "mini", are sickly. And you can't let them get fat, but that's true of any pet. Think for yourself, learn the facts, get to know some of these breeds before make asinine statements.

While I completely agree with you that intentionally breeding animals with genetic health problems is sincerely egregious, I can't say I agree that they are "promoting" the breed itself. I don't think people should actively seek out an animal with these harmful issues purely for their looks, but in this case these animals are already alive and being cared for, regardless of how they were brought here. I don't see the need to tell people not to take pictures of the furry family members they love purely because you don't agree with their existence. I've never personally sought out specific breeds, but if I happened upon one of these little ones in a shelter, I wouldn't turn away or refuse to take pictures of them because that would just be cruel. Let people share photos of the pets they already have and love and maybe turn your ire toward those who actively breed them, not the people who're caring for those living beings.
