Meet Iriss and Abyss – the most beautiful twin cats in the world! The 9-month-old sisters are living in Saint-Petersburg where they found their human dad at 3 months old. These inseparable cats both have heterochromatic eyes. Having heterochromatic eyes means that eyes are of different colour. For example, one might be green or brown and the other blue, or there might be a few colours in one eye.
Legend says that different coloured eyes allow people or animals to see into both worlds – of the living and the dead. I myself don’t know if that’s true, but I can for sure say that heterochromatic eyes are stunning.

Heterochromatic eyes are common among Turkish Angora, and often times the cat is deaf in the eye on the side of the blue eye. GORGEOUS cats!
*Deaf in the ear ...ugh!
Thought it was Turkish Van breed instead?
Oh my poor babies! ;__;
Does that come from ilicit breeding, or what causes it?
its some sort of gene mutation. My cat was born solid white, he has blue eyes, and was born completely deaf... when he was about 6 months old his hearing started to develop
Angoras are long haired mountain cats that inadvertently inbred themselves for years while being isolated in the mountains for years before
Well these cats aren't Angoras but the commenter does have a point
Totally white cats have higher possibility to be born deaf, but it's ok if cat has any spot than white .
Being found by humans.
Their Turkish van cats. Angora tail of the cat is fluffy and have a single eye color (yellow, green or blue)
I had an Angora with heterochromatic eyes. She was pure white with one amber eye and one blue eye and yes, she was deaf.
And yeah sorry, this is not Angora this is Turkish Van breed. Van breed has short hair, Angora is much fluffier like a white cloud :)
Usually, when they get older, they lost their sight and ability to hear. It is not about old age, it is just their characteristics
I can't believe how beautiful they are. Stunning cats and really good photos and I actually kind of like the bird shirt it's good tacky lol
The other eye looks like Axinite gemstone, gorgeous and adorable!!
