The Pisoaia waterfall is a landscape reservation on a rocky treshold of crystalline limestone of paleozoic age, suounded by a beech forest and a small number of other remote resimous tres.

The waterfall is cca. 18 m hight with a spread of the watercourse of 25m on the rocky steep slope it flows on. The limestone formations of travertine type deposited in time complete this spectacular ladscape. The protected area has a surface of 2.5 ha.

Pisoaia waterfall is located in the Vidra village, Nemesi village, on Ariesul Mic, at the confluence with the Slatina brook, in the vicinity of DJ 762 Mihoiești-Avram Iancu road. It is located in the right slope of Ariesul Mic, opposite the Snail Hill.

The waters of the area, rich in limestone, cover everything with deposits, and give rise to numerous limestone formations, some even spectacular.

From these limestone bushes, locals make crosses that can be seen near churches or along roads, or cut bricks with which they surround their homes.
