I'm at a loss. On one hand, people - especially Americans - are so fixated on weddings, with everything planned years in advance, all that engagement ring having to be super expensive b******t and - oh my God - the amount of money they are willing to spend on a one day event! (Like... why does it have to be so expensive? My wedding was the best day and best party of my life and it cost us under 800 USD!) On the other hand, all these stories and dramas how somebody ruined, or trolled somebody's wedding, how they in turn took revenge on their wedding... F*****g hell, people. It just makes me mad. Also, it is wrong to glorify revenge. It's an animalistic urge which should not be catered to. Like, let's watch Kill Bill to get those nice feelings but don't be actually vengeful, guys. Stop talking to your a*****e friends, no need to hurt and punish them, ffs.

They are both as bad as each other, two wrongs don't make a right. They need to grow up the pair of them.

She (Sarah) did t on purpose? She did it thinking "this is going to ruin the party"? I didn't know that to announce an engagement in a weddng was bad. Why? I thounght it's just some news and then the party keeps going. I don't undertand the issue.

I think it's better to spread the wave of good and stop the waves of evil. And conspiring, planning, and eventually feeling happy for spoiling someone else's wedding... dunno, that doesn't feel right.

Im here for the drama. I been a bridesmaids and sometimes it give lot of stress for an event that last one day.

After my wedding, a distant relative posted pictures of my wedding BEFORE I could post the official ones! And didn't even ask if he could. Somehow I was too happy/busy to raise a stink about it

Two wrongs don't make a right

I love this. I love everything about this story.

What goes around comes around, if you want friends you need to be a friend and not hijack other peoples marriage.

If this is true (because it's on the internet doesn't make it true), then Emma has a bigger problem than Sarah. It sounds to me that Sarah is a huge narcissistic person and her action is not perse her fault. I do not justify her actions, because it's a horrible thing to do, but it seems to me she is just a, as I said before, a huge narcissistic person. Emma, on the other hand, plans this all out to take her revenge on her. Not saying she got pregnant to get back on her but to a very happy and important happening just to get back on her is seriously f*ck up. Act like a grown-up, talk to her and eventually break any connexion with her. Don't get on her level. So IMO their both losers.

This whole thing just sounds so odd. The first wedding apparently was not about a celebration of love, but one of formalities. Just like the second one. Announcing an engagement at a wedding just sounds odd. But so sounds making any fuss about it; ALL attendees should have just moved on a minute later. Announcing pregnancy at a wedding, again, where is the big deal? Move on, nothing to see there. And then, throwing someone from a wedding? Seriously? People should merely try to celebrate with family and friends but to seek for perfection. Perfection comes when you do not try to enforce it!

I enjoyed the story and do love petty revenge especially when it is justified. It is a well known fact you don't do anything to take away from the happy couple on their wedding day. A narcissist announced their engagement on another person's wedding day and got their comeuppance. Don't be a jerk and people will treat you with respect is the moral of this story.
