I've seen drone photos of the beautiful Mediterranean, Cyrus. The clear blue water stands in sharp contrast to the Varosha Resort? What happened ?
Varosha used to be one of the top tourist destinations in Cyprus before 1974. After events of 1974 when Turkey occupied Cyprus, Varosha became a ghost town , the residents left. Today it remains uninhabited and the entry is forbidden to the public.
