Billy Baldwin Slams Sharon Stone For Saying She Was Pressured Into Sleeping With Him For Film

Billy Baldwin unleashed a tirade on social media after his co-star Sharon Stone revealed new details about their box office bomb, Sliver.

Over three decades after the release of Sliver, Sharon dished out lesser-known secrets from the movie’s filming and claimed producer Robert Evans asked her to sleep with Billy to “save the movie.”

“[Evans] is running around his office in sunglasses explaining to me that he slept with Ava Gardner and I should sleep with Billy Baldwin, because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better,” Sharon said on The Louis Theroux Podcast. “And we needed Billy to get better in the movie because that was the problem. If I could sleep with Billy then we’d have chemistry on screen, and if I would just have sex with him then that would save the movie.”

“The real problem in the movie was me, because I was so uptight, and so not like a real actress who could just f— him and get things back on track,” she continued. “The real problem was I was such a tight a–.”

Sharon, who earned worldwide acclaim for her performance in Basic Instinct, said she didn’t have to do anything to bring out the onscreen chemistry with Michael Douglas while they filmed together.

“I didn’t have to f— Michael Douglas. Michael could come to work and know how to hit those marks, and do that line, and rehearse and show up,” she said. “Now all of a sudden I’m in the ‘I have to f—  people’ business.”

Following Sharon’s unexpected disclosures, Billy used social media as his mouthpiece to question why the actress was still talking about him after all these years.

“Not sure why Sharon Stone keep[s] talking about me all these years later?” he ranted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Does she still have a crush on me or is she still hurt after all these years because I shunned her advances?”

Billy also claimed to have “so much dirt on her it would make her head spin”

“Did she say to her gal pal Janice Dickinson the day after I screen tested and ran into them on our MGM Grand flight back to New York… ‘I’m gonna make him fall so hard for me, it’s gonna make his head spin.’ ???” he wrote.

“I have so much dirt on her it would make her head spin but I’ve kept quiet,” he added.

Billy also claimed he had some of the racy shots in Sliver created in such a way that he “wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon.”

“The story of the meeting I had with Bob Evans imploring him [to] allow me to choreograph the final sex scene in the photo below so I wouldn’t have to kiss Sharon is absolute legend,” he said. “Wonder if I should write a book and tell the many, many disturbing, kinky and unprofessional tales about Sharon? That might be fun.”

Following Billy’s rant on social media, model Janice denied Billy’s claim of her and Sharon ever having a conversation about making Billy falling for her.

“As I recall Sharon never said that to me,” she told the Daily Mail.

“I am not sure why Billy Baldwin is bringing this up. I adore them both but that never happened,” she added.

Sharon Stone said the filmmakers should have cast a better actor instead of expecting her to sleep with her co-star

This is not the first time Sharon has mentioned such an incident taking place during the Sliver movie production. In her 2021 memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, Sharon wrote about an incident where she was asked to sleep with a co-star to improve their actor. However, she did not mention Robert’s name at the time.

“I had a producer bring me to his office, where he had malted milk balls in a little milk-carton-type container under his arm with the spout open,” she wrote in her book. “He walked back and forth in his office with the balls falling out of the spout and rolling all over the wood floor as he explained to me why I should f—  my costar so that we could have onscreen chemistry.”

“Why, in his day, he made love to Ava Gardner onscreen and it was so sensational!” she added

She also said the filmmakers should have just cast a better actor to perform opposite her instead of expecting her to fix their acting.

“Now you think if I f— him, he will become a fine actor? Nobody’s that good in bed,” the actress wrote in her book. “I felt they could have just hired a costar with talent, someone who could deliver a scene and remember his lines. I also felt they could fuck him themselves and leave me out of it. It was my job to act and I said so. This was not a popular response. I was considered difficult.”

While I thought Baldwin's response was a little immature, I don't understand why people were saying she wasn't insulting him personally...it was definitely implied when she said how great Michael Douglas was in comparison, and she said instead of getting a better actor, the solution was to sleep with Baldwin. It definitely is insulting to Baldwin. It sucks that she was treated that way by the director, but she doesn't need to be rude, too.
