This Street Photographer Took 26 Pics Capturing Animals’ Odd And Hilarious Moments
Belgian street photographer Jeffrey De Keyser has a knack for spotting the unusual in otherwise ordinary surroundings. His photographs often find humor, surrealism, and absurdity in everyday scenes, turning fleeting encounters into images that make you pause and look twice.
Based in Ghent, De Keyser discovered street photography in 2014, initially pursuing it as a leisure activity before it became an important form of self-expression and a way of exploring how we perceive the world. He doesn't typically head out with a particular theme in mind. Instead, he reacts to whatever catches his eye, later finding connections between individual photographs during the editing process. Bold colors, reflections, unusual juxtapositions, and moments that seem to bend reality all feature prominently in his work.
For this collection, however, we're focusing on a recurring cast of characters that can make even the most carefully composed street scene more unexpected: animals. From cats and dogs to sheep, geese, and camels, they appear alongside people, architecture, reflections, and city streets, sometimes becoming the visual punchline without seeming to do anything at all.

Atlas Obscura --> "The Procession of the Holy Blood, also known as the "Most Beautiful Day in Bruges," has been taking place each year since the 13th century when the relic is said to have come to the city. As the story goes it was brought to Bruges after the Second Crusade, and on the Thursday that falls 40 days after Easter, the otherwise dried blood becomes wet once more. The revery was created to celebrate this miracle."

The placement of the heart balloon between its legs makes the scale even funnier.

I love this one! The shadows show a lot of action around the kitty but kitty is totally cool!

Not sure what's going on here but I suggest the artist drop everything and return to his canvas.

Translation from Travel Belgium group - "DE HAAN. For *Eternity – Poseidon*, the Chinese artist Xu Zhen drew inspiration from the bronze statue of Cape Artemision—a Greek sculpture dating back to 460 BC that is believed to depict either Poseidon or Zeus, though uncertainty remains. The artist replicated the statue and placed Peking ducks—a cultural symbol of China—on the giant’s arms. As in the rest of *The Eternity Series*, he blends elements of Western and Eastern cultures."

BP finally had to censor a dog's body parts. What a sad day.

The guy in the window seems to be trying to stop his dog from jumping out of the window!
