“Become Your Passion”Is A Carved Version Of A Woven Medium That Is Portrayed With My Own Medium In A Solid Piece Of Black Walnut.
I have an old school friend that makes first nation woven hats and clothing. I wanted to create a piece that emulates the final look of her craft while only using one solid piece of black walnut. It was a very monotonous task but worth every minute after seeing it completed!
It all started with a giant piece of black walnut that I had been drying out for two years.
Next step was to create the face which emulates the artist becoming their own personal art form

Now it was time to score the lines and get ready for dozens of hours carving
