We all know that we shouldn’t let the haters get to us, but that’s easier said than done. Luckily, people like Vega Blossom provide us with everyday examples of how to stand up for oneself. While the 19 year-old was waiting in line at her favorite bakery in Valparaiso, Indiana, she overheard a woman behind her say, “Let’s hope this fat bitch doesn’t buy all the cupcakes.” As a response, Blossom developed a savage revenge plan against the rude customer and executed it flawlessly.
“When I heard the nasty things the women said, I honestly wanted to cry,” Vega told Daily Mail. “It really hurt my feelings.”
“How could these grown women be so mean to someone they’ve never met, let alone talked to,” she wondered. “But I swallowed the hurt and thought of the best possible thing I could do back to them that wasn’t horrible, but that would teach them a lesson about respecting others.”
The comeback did cost Blossom $54, but over 74,000 people who liked it on Facebook believe it was totally worth it. Scroll down to check out the story and share your thoughts in the comments.

“Hopefully, this was a lesson in treating others kindly, and maybe a lesson in karma as well”

Leaving the bakery was probably the most rewarding part: “I looked the pair straight in the eye and asked ‘could you please open the door for me? My hands are a bit full'”

“Reluctantly, one woman held the door open before following me outside”

“I think, if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all. I am NOT sorry for taking all of the cupcakes”

It wasn’t the only time Vega had to deal with negative remarks about her weight

Why are these stories always accompanied by loads of selfies of the person? To me it looks like she is asking to be judged on her appearance. You can look however you want, the woman in the queue was a b***h and I support you in that but then why add the boobs photo?
She didn't post this to bored panda, someone else found it on facebook and added the photos themselves. Sorry, I really hate when people are all "omg attention whore!" in posts like this when the original person isn't the one sharing their photos with the story. Not trying to call you out specifically, it literally happens in every post like this on BP.
... makes the BP posters seem a bit creepy
Posting about it on Facebook is not attention seeking?
thank you for actually getting it.
I actually didn't know that! Thanks for the info!
True, this post is full with boobs.
No, but the comments are. Well, you’d know that.
I understand the confusion, but not every person that seems confident is in fact confident. One may also be confident for a day- an hour- be sad the rest of the time. I personally experience something similar. Not to mention if you try to "show confidence" (whether you're the standard for "pretty" or not) people will beat you down out of jealousy, no matter what body you have, because many subconsciously just hate people that feel good about themselves. This is the society we live in.
You are so right! Insecurity is crippling our nation.
A selfie means that people have the right to judge your appearance?
the fact she shared them with friends and workers negates any argument that she was being 'greedy', she just reacted to the situation. all's fair in love and war.
But I would have made sure that the women who made the nasty comment know WHY I bought all the cupcakes.
Right, I would have announced rather loudly "I want to buy every last cupcake, because apparently, thats what we FAT people do" ... People are such bitches,
Don't worry, they KNEW!
They knew.
Sweet, sweet revenge, love it. To those of you seeing this as an opportunity for fat shaming are missing the moral of this story. & screw you.

Most people I've known who fat shame are people who are slightly fat & are terrified of getting fatter or sometimes were previously fat. I rarely see a skinny girl shaming fat peope, but maybe that's just my experience. And teenage boys & young men are the worst!
