In Titanic, On Her Deathbed, Instead Of Thinking About Her Children And Husband With Whom She’s Been Living For 70 Years, Rose Remembers Some Homeless Dude Who F***ed Her On A Boat
She knew he'd dump her before her 25th birthday so why bother?
Load More Replies...And throws away a necklace that could probably have put several grandchildren through college.
Yeah, I wanted to say this, but you beat me to it. I was more pissed that she threw away a jewel that could have made several generations comfortable.
Load More Replies...Without him, she would not have had the life of her dreams. She might not be alive at all. So, speaking as a mother, I do think I would spare a thought for my first love that saved my life, when I am on my deathbed.
Actually, without him, she'd've been on the first batch of lifeboats.
Load More Replies...And then drops a priceless necklace into the ocean-on purpose-instead of giving it to her family.
...anyone who didn't realize what a selfish a*****e rose was on first viewing...is pretty brick-like, really..
Right... She was selfish....not everyone else treating her like she was a commodity to be married off...you're a wanker
Load More Replies...So what are we saying? If you fall in love and that person dies, you're not allowed to see that person as the true love of your life? Or you're only allowed to marry someone else afterwards if you stop caring about losing your deceased partner? Also: was she on her deathbed in the movie? I don't remember that, I only remember her being on the boat with her granddaughter, which is a totally logical time to reminisce about the love you met and lost there. "Oh, this brings back memories of what it was like on the Titanic" 'No grandma, think about your children and husband, not about the Titanic and the person you met there!"
I think the point is, she brought the diamond necklace and talked about the story of her first love Jack on the Titanic and there is nothing wrong with that, were it goes sideways is at the end when she passes away and we see her ghost on the titanic young with Jack and the people who died on the Titanic, it's like she lived her life just waiting until the day they could be reunited in the afterlife buttttt she was married and had kids since Jack and that means what now? She can always have fond or deep feelings for Jack, someone she only knew for a couple of weeks but you would think she would have a deeper love and affection for the man she actually married, spent her entire adult life with, had children with, grandkids, and a whole life....but nope she was just kicking rocks waiting to see Jack again.
Load More Replies...Remember Jack sternly told Rose that she was going to “make lots of babies”, when she was ready to say goodbye? She only had that one chance with Jack & I guess it just wasn’t her time for ovulating (or having quintuplets, LOL). So, how else was she going to respect Jack’s last wishes for her? Also, Rose obviously loved him enough to do that, rather than remain alone & only his forever. If that’s not true love, IDK what is. She’s spent most of her life on her children & the father of her children, so I should think she’s allowed to picture her true love as she’s dying. Her children still have lives to live, but I’m sure they’d get to meet their mother again when it’s their time to “cross over”. 🤔🤷♀️
Yeah, I saw this movie ONCE. At the time, I thought it was all about Rose. Everyone else be damned.
Yeah it's a story from her perspective. You missed a whole lot. I'm sad for you that you didn't get it
Load More Replies...I was a Jr. in high school when that movie came out and TBH, the Celine Dion Music video was better.
If I had been lugging that giant a*s diamond around for 70 years, I wouldn't forget the dudes I effed for it, either.
I think I have it figured out. They were never on the Titanic. Jack was not a homeless man, Rose was not a wealthy hopeless romantic. They were actors reciting words from a script writer's word processor. Rose didn't let Jack didn't get on the door because it wasn't in the script. Why did Rose drop the necklace into the sea? Because the script said "drop necklace"
Rose also held onto the Heart of the Sea tossing it overboard rather than finding some way to sell it so her family would have had plenty of money to "make it."
And really not true. The statement was made by a crass idiot who didn't understand the story.
Load More Replies...Are you telling me you wouldn't be focused on the most traumatic period of your life???
And additionally, rather than think of her husband and children and their inheritance or financial well-being, chucks a diamond into the ocean...
You forget she came from money and married money
Load More Replies...After 70 years, the husband is probably dead, the children are now old people and the grandchildren are in their 30s.
I think it was comedian Roy Wood, Jr. who joked the dikk was too good, she's still thinking about it 80 years later.
When you find that one true special love you get in life then it stays with you forever. What else was she supposed to do? Stay in bed 80 years depressed and alone?
True special love doesn't come in a handful of days. The whole idea is ridiculous. Spending your whole life pining over a crush is incredibly silly and unhealthy.
Load More Replies...While reading through the end credits of any movie, you probably see hundreds or even thousands of names scrolling by. Somewhere in that list of actors, directors, writers, and producers are those who are responsible for making sure that unwanted mistakes don’t reach people’s screens.
Bored Panda reached out to filmmaker and writer Molly Smith, who kindly agreed to tell us why such things go unnoticed.
She told us, "Continuity mistakes and background mishaps can sometimes get overlooked in films because the director and editor watch the cut so many times that they may not notice those small details.
The more you watch something, the more familiar you get with it, and these inconsistencies may not stand out. A director is focused on making the story coherent and communicating the overall tone and message of the film. The editor is focused on continuity and an overall sense of flow and polishing. Small details, like an extra falling over in the background of a scene, might get overlooked because the director is focused on something else."
In Avengers Endgame, People Are Shown To Still Be Grieving 5 Years After The Snap. This Is Unrealistic, Because History Shows That In The Years After A Traumatic Event That Kills Millions Of Innocent People, The Survivors Instead Just Bitch About Inflation.

There is also continuity, and script supervisors who ensure that film and television scenes make sense both visually and verbally and can be edited into a coherent story when filming is finished. This department observes everything closely, taking detailed notes for directors and editors.
They also make sure that everything in the scenes is in the exact location and in the same manner, take after take, even if the scene is shot for days or weeks at a time. At the end of each day, they produce a report putting down any errors and giving information about the already-shot scenes to be used for the following days (as well as at the editing stages of the film).

In Wonka (2023)… Oh For Fuck’s Sake, Did We Really Need A Willy Wonka Prequel?
However, keeping continuity is not an easy task. For instance, the crew may shoot an outdoor winter scene for a Christmas movie in the spring but discover that they need to go back for extra shots in the fall. The fake snow needs to look real and fall with the same consistency as it did months earlier. Additionally, all the props around the scene must look identical to previous ones.
In Barbie, The Main Character Is A Single Young Woman Who Is Able To Afford Her Own House In 2023. That Is Because It Is A Fantasy.
Currently in the USA there are SIX TIMES as many homes as there are homeless people. The "Housing Crisis" is caused by greed, not by lack of homes.

It’s nearly impossible to duplicate everything how it was, so directors often use cutaway tricks to mask inconsistencies in moves. Even though the staff takes hundreds of photographs of the location and makes extensive notes on light placement, details, and actors, no one is immune to accidents.

Some of these accidents involve leaving modern-day objects that aren't appropriate for the era in which the movie is set. Fans and cinema enthusiasts have been spotting modern water bottles in Little Women and Game of Thrones, while roads in Bridgerton have yellow traffic lines that were invented much later.
This may already be considered a factual mistake - one that clashes with the real world by being historically, geographically, or physically incorrect. Even a modern word that didn’t exist yet but was accidentally included in the final cut of the movie can disturb the historical plot.

In An Impressive Display Of Acting Range, Joe Pesci Plays Both The Cop At The Beginning Of Home Alone (1991) And One Of The Burglars Later In The Film
Errors in films are referred to as “goofs” and can take us momentarily outside of the world that the movie was trying to create. They shouldn’t be confused with bloopers, which are amusing mistakes made by an actor or the crew and are usually removed before the production is released. They may be shown at the end of the movie to poke fun at how actors react to unexpected situations.
Smith told us that "Most major mistakes are fixed during post-production, the stage of filmmaking where the film is edited together, sound mixed, color graded, scored, and any VFX are added. In addition to the main editor, there might be several other creators that specialize in these different areas of post-production.
For example, Foley artists are responsible for creating authentic sound effects for things like footsteps, rustling clothes, etc. With all these different specializations, each person is focused on perfecting their area of the film, so major mistakes don’t frequently show up. In addition, there are usually test screenings in front of an audience for feedback before the final film is released."

Some other common mistakes that remain in movies reveal the filmmaking process, such as visual effects or a very obvious stunt performer. This is also related to visible camera crew equipment that is accidentally left in the final cut of the movie. There can also be audio errors related to speech, sound effects, or character mistakes with significant slips in dialogue or written words.

Daniel Day Lewis On The Set Of Wonka (2023) 2 Weeks Before He Was Fired And Recasted In Favor Of Timothée Chalamet.
I cannot imagine - in any parallel universe - DDL being capable of "whimsy" in a role like Wonka.
Sometimes such blunders are left on purpose for movie watchers to find. They’re called Easter eggs and can be anything from an inside joke on set to a reference to another film.
Smith confirms this fact and says "In multi-part film franchises, callbacks to previous films in the series can be exciting for viewers to find. They also generate press about the movie on social media. If the mistake or Easter egg doesn’t interfere with the tone and story of the film and adds an element of excitement for true fans, that might be a reason why a director would choose to leave it in."

Most People Will Tell You The Truman Show Has Aged Brilliantly, Due To How Social Media Increasingly Documents Every Moment Of Our Lives. I However, Think It Aged Terribly Because Nobody Nowadays Would Have The Attention Span For This Boring-Ass Show.
For Oppenheimer (2023), Nolan Failed To Show The Trinity Bomb Test Properly, Opting Instead For A Pretty Basic-Looking Explosion That Could Be Anything Blowing Up. This Is Because He Was Not Allowed To Drop A Real Nuke For The Scene. It's A Shame Cgi Doesn't Exist, Or This Could've Been Avoided
All you would see with the naked eye is a bright flash that would leave you either temporarily or permanently blind. All the footage we have was taken with super slo-mo and filters. A nuclear blast in real time would be like flashing a white frame on screen for 1/16 of a second and relighting the entire theatre with hidden ultra-bright streetlamps and turning everything at once while setting an actual bomb off in the basement. EDIT: to clarify, I mean a bomb big enough to shake the seats and the building, not enough to hurt anyone.

I Am Legend's (2007) Original Ending Was Changed After Negative Responses From Test Screenings. Given How Almost Everyone Unanimously Agrees That The Original Ending Was Better, The Studio Must Have Chosen The Dumbest People Alive For The Test Screenings.
The official ending doesn't even make sense given the name of the film. I am Legend refers to what Will was to the mutated people

In 'Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull', Cate Blanchett's Character Quotes J. Robert Oppenheimer "I Am Become Death...". Because The Movie Takes Place In 1957, But Oppenheimer Didn't Say The Quote Until 1965, This Is The First Moment That Time Travel Is Established In The Franchise.
Never saw either of those movies but the actual quote is from the Bhagavad-Gita. I believe it it refers to a clash between Vishnu and Shiva in the Hindu religion but I'm not sure about the details.
In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), Okoye Mentions That Mit Is The Equivalent Of A Wakandan Village School. This Is To Remind The Audience That Wakanda Is - In Fact - A Fictional Country.
