*Sigh* maybe YOU need to google it. That is after you are done telling the artist their neighbors will *re-reads* yes....beat them with sticks....foolish me I thought you were referring to the 'little disease vectors' but you were actually talking about the artist themselves being beaten with a stick for creating a miniature village. And since google isn't YOUR friend: "Only some kinds of mice and rats can give people hantaviruses that can cause HPS. In North America, they are the deer mouse, the white-footed mouse, the rice rat, and the cotton rat." Google images of these rodents and compare to this post..... I would also like to point out, for someone judging how people spend their time and if they have 'too much' of it, You just spent YOUR time looking at pictures of their hobby, so what does that say about your time?

Why are you even looking at this post if you have such a hate on for wild rodents. Perhaps google should be YOUR friend. It is deer mice that primarily carry hanta virus....these aren't deer mice.

Your mice are the luckiest mice in the world I believe it is safe to say. Thank you for the adorable pictures. Like I say very many times when I see anything positive when humans are kind to animals...thank you. Thank you from them (I'm 100%sure they would not argue that thank you!)& thank you from me. I save animals on the sidelines. Mostly waterfowl and birds. So many of my "clients in need" are small...sparrow small. I am so determined to make as many ppl see that everything these tiny creatures do is special, important, and without them...a peice of mother nature would collapse, then the enormous downfall starts. Unfortunately, it started awhile ago and now it is going to be extremely hard to play catch up unless all humans are on the same page. I'm so tired of ppl trying to tell me, "its just a bird", or "it's just a duck". In your case it IS NOT just a mouse. Those I'm sure are your "babies". Or they wouldn't have such a gorgeous home. Thank you for being kind!

hogs hibernate so getting them to a correct weight is a way to help them survive the winter . some even take them indoors in a box of straw feeding and giving water till better weather .

Mr negativity .... just to be clear I have now been doing this since early 2018 and to date the mouse numbers have never gone crazy 0 mice in the house and no problems at all .. in the uk mice numbers out in the wild often stay low unless limitless food is around

I have been caring for and feeding this group of mice since 2018 and seen lots of mice come and go and some grow from tiny babys to full grown adults that have lived long for wild mice . so they get very used to me being around and know I mean them no harm also they often know I bring treats and peanuts .

started this in 2018 and not had a single mouse in my house or seen any real population booms . in the uk with weather and predators mice groups are lucky to reach more than 8 or live longer than 3 mths .

well they have been here since may and only now have I noticed 1 pregnant female and over all 6 mice . they cause no harm out in the garden where they already lived even without the log pile home .
