I Took Magical Pictures Of Kids And Their Pets (7 Pics)

Hello, My name is Surabhi and I am a family and child photographer based in Perth, Australia.

I am a dog owner myself and I believe that kids share a deep relationship with their pets while growing up. Capturing the innocence of a child and an animal together is just so magical and some of my favorite moments to photograph. The fact that you can not make them act a certain way or make them pose in front of the camera makes the photoshoot challenging but super fun at the same time.

The trick to capturing natural photos of kids is to make the activity fun, let them do something they naturally love to do. In my experience, something special seems to happen to children in presence of animals. Children are calmer, more curious and have more fun around animals. Kids develop sensitivity to the environment and other animals when they grow up with a pet in the family.

My hope is that these pictures will be loved and treasured by these kids as they grow up and find their own place in this wonderful world.
