Meg Hitchcock is an American artist who currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York City. She studied classical painting in Florence, Italy and received a BFA in painting from the San Francisco Art Institute. Driven by her lifelong interest in religion, literature, and psychology, Meg Hitchcock uses excerpts of sacred texts to create unique artworks. In meticulous hard work, the letters are cut and rearranged to give them a new look with a different meaning. Her exceptional artworks have been shown in numerous international exhibitions including New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Berlin, and London. Furthermore, selected artworks are included in both public and private collections.
