My first panic attack occurred when I was eight years old. I had been using a dropper filled with every chemical from my chemistry set to douse bugs that happened by. A wave of nausea rushed through me while I watched a bug squirm and flail in my deadly juice. This had never happened to me before. I was a bully with a chip on my shoulder as my dad always said. I had bonded with the bug this time though, feeling what it may have been feeling. I was ashamed of myself and sick. I rinsed it off with clean water and set it on a leaf, then went into the house and didn’t come out for two weeks. This panic would later morph into forty-seven years of OCD, occasional bouts of Tourette’s and a skin picking disorder. As I grew up loving Biology, Art and Music, I eventually settled on Art as a way to stay in my room and work at home. My mind is clear and steady while working on art, it distracts me from the constant barrage of splintered thoughts. Art and skin picking, what a bizarre combination of self help therapy. I began drawing my first political cartoons under Trump’s reign to help me cope with the daily dose of Trump pain. I send them occasionally to the White House but so far no response. I draw art cartoons, create sculptures and large art projects as well. Here are a few of my drawings and work. If you are on Facebook, check my link on this site or go to www.teespring.com/trump-is-insane. And if you are wondering… I threw away my chemistry set. John King
