There are different types of teachers and they all stand out for their unique traits. But sometimes, these unique traits aren't exactly the good ones.

When I was in 7th & 8th grade- I babysat for my science teacher. He groomed me for two whole years. He also was the high school girls softball coach….. so, imagine all he got away with. Jump forward 10 years and I served his wife and her date at the restaurant I worked at. She had no wedding ring. All I could think was good for her for getting away from that creep! Now, I own a restaurant and see his family owned produce trucks all the time…. All I can do is shake my head and NOT use them as my produce supplier.

My former college professor, an elderly lady whose husband had cheated on her with one of her students, and then dumped her some years before. As a result, she used to take revenge on her female students and favor the male students. She had no problem stating this in public; she actually told us at the beginning of the year: "I like boys, and all boys in this series will pass the exam. Girls, on the other hand - especially those who are pretty - will have to study very hard if they want to pass." There were several complaints for sexist behavior and inequity, but the rector did nothing, except for advising the girls to "study harder". I moved quickly and managed to transfer to the other series. I passed the exam, while most of the girls in my former series failed. I agree that what happened to this lady was traumatic and unfair, but the way she handled it was petty and stupid.

She's a teacher from where my older sister works at. Let's call her 'Anne'. Generally, she ain't good. There's a small private high school located in our hometown. Me and my siblings all attended there and graduated. Its a common knowledge for everyone there that if you are an alumni of the school, the school principal can allow you to teach there as a part time job, or a job you can have while studying for board exams or while looking for other jobs. Overall, its a place where alumnis are welcome to work at no matter what job they are actually aiming for (as long as you are qualified for the job) My oldest sister who is in her final year of college (she always aimed to be teacher) started working there as a good way to gather teaching experiences or something. Anyway, Anne rented a place where ironically, my cousin lives in. The actual owner of the place kindly took her in after she got somewhat ostricized from her hometown (I wonder why...) and now works as a teacher at the school because our school principal took pity on her. She made the staffroom a hellish place. She made the house she lives in an unbearable place to stay in. During family get-togethers, my sister and my cousin shared to us what they endured. Generally, Anne is just a freaking narcissist, even talking over the school principal during staff meetings and complaining too much to the landlady. She complains about problems she face that are actually her doing in the first place, and refuse to accept the fact that those problems starts with her. She is often heard by my cousin making a ruckus in her kitchen trying to cook...at 8 or 9 pm. She demands answers from my cousin why her faucet isn't working, why the lights are out and so on. He's really getting concerned about it, especially since he and his wife have 3 kids who are also starting to get distracted from her noise. Not only that, but her classes are slowly turning to hell. My younger cousins who are attending the school started to skip her classes because they can't tolerate her and just stayed in the library among with some of their classmates, reading. They admitted they can't even understand what she's teaching and just resorted into them studying on their own. Even the school principal lost her cool and practically dragged Anne out of their home. That's just a few that stuck to me.

I’ve worked in K-12 education and for a university for more than a few years now, so I (unfortunately) have heard of plenty of stories of bad teachers. Two stick out though. The first was a male gym teacher that groomed a high school girl for a few years and then married her right after she graduated. This happened a few years back and as far as I’m aware they’re still happily married, but the whole situation is still gross and gives me the creeps since the guy is still a teacher at that school. Story number two is not about a teacher per se, but a school principal/headmaster. I’ll try to write this in the most family friendly way I can: This principal was caught, uh…, “preforming an act on himself” while enjoying some less than school-appropriate videos while in a state of undress. He was caught doing this in his office during the school day by another staff member and the videos were on his school computer. Obviously he was fired for this and I believe this event was even in the local news at one point.

When I moved to the United States I entered the 8th grade. My Spanish teacher was a creep. A couple years after I went into high school I realized he was stalking since middle school, until I told my cousins and between them and all of their friends beat him to a pulp. He even got a job next to my house and would follow me and my daughter everywhere. I would see him but never thought anything of it, until one day he kept driving next to me, gets out of the car, hold my lil girls hand and tries to force us into his car. Plain day light!!! But like I said my cousins and friends beat him senseless. He was a creep!!!!
