And the TV show's characters looked nothing like how the book portrayed them. Elena was blonde haired, blue eyed and the prettiest, most popular girl in school. Bonnie was chubby and short, with red, curly hair. That TV show took Elena and turned her into a Bella (from Twilight) wannabe, which was really unfortunate because all of LJ Smith's female characters were awesome, whereas Bella was an embarrassment. *Yes, I'm this bitter about a teen TV and book series. Yes, I know how silly it is. I read LJ Smith when I was a teenager in the 90s and I hated how her books, that were really good, got swept up with Twilight, which was really not good. Okay, rant over. I feel better. Lol!

You're not wrong. My sister and I would cast the movies with our dream lineups based on what we'd read. We always thought Johnny Depp would've made a good Sirius and John Cusack would've been a good Lupin - both seemed more in line with the characters than Gary Goldman and David Thewlis (who, while an AMAZING Shame Wizard on Big Mouth/Human Resources, never really had the swagger or warmth that Lupin was supposed to exude)

Yes! No offense to the actress who played her, who is beautiful, but Fleur was supposed to be drop dead gorgeous in the books. She was hardly noticable in the movies.

I agree, since those bullies are usually the prettiest, however Fleur is supposed to be a bit of a bully in the way she treats others. So the image is not so far from the book. That said, she is not suitable because she has the air of a mischievious elf, fairy-like but she's missing refinement and grace in her facial features and her eyes.
