The Agrafa, the folded mountains have steep slopes which sometimes lead to landslides. The predominant geological stone of the mountains is the limestones in the peaks and the flysch in the valleys. The relief of the rocks is illuminated by the intense light and nature creates artistic shadows and shades. Using the stones of the mountain, the inhabitants of the villages of Agrafa Mountains built stone bridges to cross the rushing rivers. The stone became their friend and ally.
