Stray Puppies Won’t Stop Hugging Each Other Since They Were Rescued

Two stray puppies have recently been adopted by Buddhist nuns in a pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and the two haven’t stopped hugging each other ever since. Though the bigger pup still looks too tiny and helpless to even take care of himself, he keeps on holding his younger friend dearly in protection.

One can’t help but wonder what the two have experienced in the streets before being taken in the temple that has made them look so scared and vulnerable. Luckily, the two are in good hands now. They’re getting used to their new home and even trying to learn meditation from the nuns. Just look at that Zen pose! Everything will be alright.

I'm calling BS on this ridiculously naive story. In every photo the puppies are being made to sit or stand upright - it's completely unnatural and staged. Here's what I think happened: these two puppies were near the temple, starving and desperate. They were taken inside, given a bowl of rice and some water, made to repeatedly pose for a sequence of absurd photos showing them hugging and standing, all for the amusement of the people there, and then forgotten and possibly regarded as a nuisance. No more rice, no deworming or anything else they obviously need. And one or both puppies has/have since died through neglect. Am I right?

I also question why are the sitting up on every picture. This is unnatural. The rest is subject for speculation. But there is a strong sense of fear in the eyes of these dogs, like they are more fearful then hungry. ... by the way, stray dogs that I have seen don't look so scared, they look more apathetic. This is unnatural for these photos.

Do you know the name of the temple? I may pass by and see if the older one is indeed there or back on the streets. If the latter, then I'll adopt him

Something is definitely not right with this article. These puppies are not in natural poses. It sickens me to think what they must have done to get them to pose this way and what they're fate was.

Why do you post incorrect stories ? And why didn't you write the ending too ? because the little black one was SICK and eventually died...And how about LOOKING at all THESE photos here to realize that these puppies have been trained to sit like that ? And you call this " journalism ?" And yes, it is VIETNAM...and the puppies were there in that Temple...Interesting how so many readers got to learn the TRUTH, yet you could not ...Just click on an image and Search google for it, and YOU will get the correct information...It is your moral and ethical duty to RE WRITE the story...http://thoibao.today/paper/thuong-dut-ruot-cau-cun-em-o-chua-bao-hoa-son-da-

Julija, please take this horrible story off this Website. Can't you tell that those poor wee souls are terrified? It's obvious that no puppy stands or sits like that unless they have been taught to do so and probably not with very kind methods... They do not look healthy or happy. It's a very sad and depressing story and has no business being on your website. It's an obvious case of abuse and neglect. Please research your articles a little more carefully before posting...

Also I eager that dogs don't ever take such strange postures. I've had dogs all my life and never saw any thing like it. Asians have little ideas about how to treat animals correctly. They eat anything that crawls, flies, swims, walks. The way they kill and keep animals is beyond cruel.

Hey Ly Nguyen, sorry if we made a mistake, however every source that we check says it happened in China. Do you have a link to an article where it says it's in Vietnam? We'd like to fix the article.

These dogs DO NOT LOOK HAPPY or RELAXED!!! They are tense! And now I learn that the smaller black puppy is dead???? WTF?? Where do you see dogs standing on their back legs against a wall????? Are you blind? DO NOT write insane articles like this that the dogs are safe??? Safe would've been dogs in their normal self, laying down, relaxing with a smile on their faces, or sleeping, or playing.... UGHH.... What is wrong with you???

The pictures of these dogs are bothersome and weird. I hope that the stories are also filtered. Otherwise, perhaps, a more accurate storytelling. I am sure dogs don't hug like that. :(
