Actor Matthew Bellows Goes From ‘Captain Marvel’ To ‘Ncis’ And More

What does ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘NCIS’ have in common? Actor Matthew Bellows.

You might not recognize him at first, but a few weeks ago Matthew was painted blue in ‘Captain Marvel.’ He joined in the storyline as part of the Accusers, who are the Kree equivalent of military, following the third most powerful being amongst their kind, Ronan.

You should recognize Matthew from his latest TV stint, now part of the US military in CBS’s ‘NCIS.” In the episode “Silent Service,” he takes control as the tough Navy submarine Captain Reginald Barkley, during an investigation into a SEAL team member’s death during a training exercise. The sub goes radio silent, almost starts a nuclear war and eventually receives the stand-down message, but all the while the Captain keeps his cool.

Matthew also surfaced on the CBS drama action-drama ‘MacGyver’ a few weeks ago. In the episode “Seeds + Permafrost + Feather,” he portrays a grieving Frenchman looking to help the team find his sister’s killer. The case involves a remote, ultra-secure international seed vault but of course ends with the killer getting caught.

Now, we hear Matthew will be returning in April as the self-assured Neurosurgeon on NBC’s ‘New Amsterdam,’ possibly butting heads with Dr. Vijar Kapoor (Anupam Kher) again. And, younger audiences can catch him on an episode of the CBS Saturday morning hit ‘The Inspectors,’ as the United States Postal Inspection Service team cracks a case in Los Angeles.

Currently, Matthew is on-set shooting a recurring role in for the third season of FX’s drug drama, ‘Snowfall.’ The details of his appearance are being kept tightly under wraps, so we’ll just have to wait and watch.

But, if you don’t want to wait, then you can catch Matthew starring as the bad-ass human hunter Jax in the sci-fi action drama series, ‘Extinct.’ The series premiered a while back, but you can binge watch the entire10-episode series on BYUtv.
