The idea of building a youth center (MMC) near Primorsko is part of a larger program, which in the 50s and 60s of the last century brought the Bulgarian Black Sea coast as a tourist destination in international measure.

As the cultural program of MMC (International Youth Center) at that time was rich and diverse, a special place was provided for it – the summer theater built in 1972, called the cinema “Kosmos” (Space).

Built on a beautiful terrain in the middle of the forest, the theater has over 3,500 seats and, in addition to regular cinema screenings, entertains visitors by providing opportunities for young talents. In addition, fun quizzes in different languages are held on its stage.

In the 90’s the cultural program gradually faded, the curtains came down, the last lamps went out …

The Kosmos (Space) cinema has been abandoned for more than 20 years. Its beautifully decorated seahorse doors are locked, there is no music coming from the stage, and thorny rose bushes have lined up on its peeled wooden benches instead of people.
