I took on the inktober drawing challenge this October. It’s a list of daily prompts to inspire, open to anyone wanting to play along.
Reflecting back on the drawings I made for the challenge, I noticed that my mental state influences a swing of tone in the works. From silly sweet moments between a cat and his dad, to stupid puns, to a commentary on the necessity to splatter earth against an invisible barrier.
Some of us beat ourselves up during the downswings. It’s not uncommon to have negative days. You’re not bad or stupid for having them. You can accept them and process those feels in your way and you don’t have to do it alone unless that’s what works best for you. Post it to your friends, share it out loud. You’re having an experience here.
When you come out the other side with clarity, have another laugh at yourself. Then get back to living.
I’m no authority on anything except maybe drawing stuff and making up funny names for Dungeons and Dragons characters. I hope I can inspire some kindness and a laugh here or there.
Cartoonist on a mission. I draw comics and throw them into the void of the interwebs. My goal is to get laughs, groans of protest over bad puns, and share a sense of empathy that you're not alone on bad days. I don't know what a target audience is (lol) so I just make what I want.

Hey there, Pandas! My name is Diana (though some people call me Diane, Deanna, or even Liana sometimes), and I am an Artist Ventures Lead at Bored Panda.
In my role, I work closely with artists and creators from all over the world, helping bring their work to a wider audience and highlighting the incredible things people create. A big part of what I do is connecting talented artists with the platform and making sure their projects, stories, and visuals get the recognition they deserve.
Outside of work, you can usually find me brewing a nice cup of coffee, making pizza from scratch, or baking brownies. I also love traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with my cats (heavy on that one, because I’m definitely a cat mom).
