I Transform Burnt Out Light Bulbs Into Christmas Ornaments

I collect burnt out light bulbs and create hand painted, one of a kind Christmas Ornaments.

One half is the scene or subject, the back side I marble. The latest series shown here show a classic/vintage style of Christmas. I also do custom work.

    That's a great idea. I can't paint like that, but that is a great way to recycle old bulbs.

    I hope you do-- make sure to thoroughly clean the bulb first-so the primer coat will adhere properly. Good Luck!

    I am so going to do this. We have a collection spot for used lightbulbs at work so I dont have to wait for the lamps at home :D

    I suggest that you clean each bulb thoroughly, and use rubbing alcohol to remove all grease, dirt etc... and use a high adhesive primer before painting your designs...that way it won't scratch or peel. Good Luck!
