This Unusual Café In Seoul Will Make You Feel Like You Walked Into A Cartoon
It’s never dull scrolling through a vibrant Instagram food scene, and it seems like every café these days is trying to satisfy the hunger for unique design. Of all the insta-worthy bar designs, we raise you a restaurant that will make you feel like you walked into a cartoon drawing.
From the moment you cross the café’s doorstep, you are greeted by comic strips plastered all over the interior, from walls and floors to the furniture and dishes, so you can’t help but feel as if you magically found a secret entrance to the unreal comic world. And it all makes sense, as Café got its inspiration from Korean TV hit “W – Two Worlds” by Lee Jong-suk and Han Hyo-Joo, in which the characters enter a fantasy webtoon world.
Sadly, if you don’t live in South Korea, specifically in Seoul, you will have to put a bit more effort to experience the illusion of this excellent interior design. This small, but cozy café, opened in July 2017 and located in a famous Yeonnam-dong district is called Cafe Yeonnam-dong 239-20 which is actually cafe’s address.
If you are a fan of restaurant design, comics or Instagram-worthy places, make sure to put this café in your itinerary next time you visit Seoul!

It's a cover for the cup to keep it hot longer and to stop bits and flies etc getting in the drink.

now that outdoor patio is so nice, appealing & appears to be somewhat peaceful. can just imagine some mixed genre music playing so that others conversations can't be overheard! aahhh, that'd be nice. well i can dream...

That looks like the Korean actor/singer Shin Won Ho. I remember seeing him in the Korean dramas "Big" and "The legend of the Deep Blue Sea." Great dramas btw 👍🏾😊

It's called "parquet" - usually made of interlocking natural wood tiles highky polished. Popular from the 30s through to late 1950s. Very nice on large flolrs like meeti g rooms or gymnasia.

Found it on Naver Maps! It's a 55 minuets car ride from home! That is... Unless you don't get stuck in traffic. 2.5 hours with the bicycle. Hmmmmh..... Sounds like an idea! This is really cool. I want to see it in person. I bet it is hard to keep clean, especially when it rains. Some muddy foot prints would throw off the je ne sais quoi of the place.

Now this is absolutely ingenious, love the style. And if they have a good coffee I would not probably leave the café at all. I would even buy some striped black-white dress just to fit in :)
