I am Diana Slezak, a graphic designer from Hungary. This was my second year finishing the Inktober challenge (by Jake Parker) and this time I decided to make a booklet out of my drawings and sell them online to donate all the money from the sales to a Hungarian animal shelter (from which we have adopted 3 dogs with my family).
At first, I did not think I could succeed but I really-really wanted to help, so I only printed out 40 booklets. Turns out, people loved my drawings, so the 36-page long booklets sold out in a few weeks and I could buy 500kgs (half a ton!!) of pet food from the sales.
A week ago we delivered all the food to the shelter (ran by a 70+ (!!) old lady) and it was one of the best days of my life: every little doggie greeted us with so much love and they were all so grateful.. if I only had one wish, I’d wish loving homes for them all. They deserve it so much.
Please, don’t forget: ADOPT, don’t shop. And trust me, you don’t need any money to help: go to a local shelter, take a dog for a walk or just spend some time there, it means the world for them, really.

All the drawings were made with an iPad Pro and Procreate. This is how the booklet turned out.
The little doggos greeted us with so much love, I almost broke out into tears. These were definitely the most touching moments of my life.
Not your regular shopping :)
