Getting older may come with aching backs, questionable knees, doctor appointments, and plenty of reasons to complain. But in Dan Gibson’s world, it also comes with plenty of reasons to laugh.

Gibson is the cartoonist behind 'Gibbleguts,' a series of one-panel comics set partly in the fictional Seniors Villa, where characters like Herb and Tillie turn the less glamorous parts of aging into silly, cheeky, and sometimes downright inappropriate jokes.

And there’s good news for fans: after taking some time away while moving home, the cartoonist returned to posting new comics in March 2026, aiming to share them about once a week.
