When the arts community comes together, good things happen. The Soaring Spirits Exhibit features over 40 unforgettable original works on beautiful wooden wings in celebration and memory of the outstanding life of Hal Parker. Art sale proceeds will be donated to Hal Parker’s favorite charity, The Rockland County Pride Center.
Hal Parker was a professional framer for over 50 years, a business owner, a community advocate and a steadfast arts supporter. You could walk into his frame shop on any day and he was always willing to talk and offer his help and guidance. The gap in the community left by Hal’s passing has inspired many to continue his work while motivating others to become local champions themselves. The arts community will continue to grow from the lessons Hal taught, never allowing his voice to be silenced.
The Soaring Spirits exhibit and reception are open to the community and all whose lives were touched by Hal Parker’s kindness, generosity, wit and love for art. The in-person exhibit runs from August 1 – August 15 with an opening reception on August 2, 6pm-8pm at The Parker, 40 S. Franklin Street, Nyack. A simultaneous virtual exhibit will run from August 1 – 31 at www.insidesmall.com.
