I love books. In fact, some of my best friends are books.
If you're a book lover, I think you'll relate to my comics!

Never Give Up
Me when I was reading Twilight 0-0 I recommend you all not to read it. It's sucky, but you have to read it all to say so ;-;
So true. Once committed, you can't go back. That was the case with the trilogy "Shiver", "Linger", and "Forever".
This is my mother, and she calls me every day with an hour long rant on the author's writing style. Apparently some writers like adjectives too much for her taste. I try to tell her that life is too short to read crappy books. There are way too many fantastic, deeply moving books in the world to waste time on c**p. She can just stop reading it. She will gasp at me like I have suggested she give up brushing her teeth. So I just have to wait it out until she is finished that book. And she is a very. slow. reader......sigh.
Totally Judging You
"Be wary of" books with these issues, but don't say "never". Some highly-promoted books are nice packages with junk inside, and some skilled indie writers are lacking in the cover-designing area.
Any book with naked male torsos, or very scantily clad ladies, should also be avoided!
Unless you like that kind of romance of course
Load More Replies...I noticed, though, that later published Harry Potter books had Harry look more similar to the actor than the older releases. Which I find as well played. It's not really a screenshot, but the selling resemblance is here.

This is even worse now we have kindle!"ok finished the book! Bedtime" *kindle voice* "now that your finished with this book..." Dammit kindle!
Yeah, especially on Kindle: it's so easy to grab the next-in-series, and wind up binge-reading! (Though doing that with some authors reveals how cookie-cutter their individually-entertaining books are.)
This happens way to much... up till 4:30 reading until I fall asleep when I cant red the words anymore.
OMG I swear that's what happened when I read Harry Potter I kid you not
Happened to me 2 times with books, 3x movies and then came voicebooks...
Books First And Always
Me neither, never open a new book very far, not even 90degrees lol. And only for that reason I do love it that my hubby doesn't interest himself with my books because he couldn't care less about that.
Load More Replies...I literally just did this this exact thing this morning. I can't hang an umbrella in my locker or it will drip all over and destroy everything but I wasn't just going to walk to school and risk all of my homework and books getting soaked so I stuffed a bunch of plastic bags into my backpack to cover up my stuff. Then, I ended up finding a small umbrella that would fit on the top shelf of my locker and not get everything wet and it turns out... it never rained!!!
What a thrilling adventure that was! Can we hear it again!?
Load More Replies...I usually carry a plastic bag. It rains a lot here, and a plastic bag isn't heavy...
Yeah, when you see a lot of rain, you prepair for that lol

Go with Hogwarts. I hear the Wicked witch is back in Narnia, goblins have invaded middle Earth, and Dumb led ore is back as headmaster. (resurrection stone and all)
I stand tall and stand corrected, he destroyed the horcrux inside it, not the stone

And paper books are easier to read out in the sun than e-books.
Whenever I get a new book, I do two things: 1. Smell the opening(DUH) 2. Skip it to the last page to see the page no. And predict in how many days would I finish it.
YOU FORGOT THE SMELL OF PAPER. WHY? Every book has a different smell that gives ot a personality. *akward scilence* I'm a book lover. What?
You forgot that someone can hack an Ebook, and advertisements exist.
Why Not?
Oh, but sometimes I get to love a character so much I actually wish I could talk to them! And so I create fan fiction in my head, maybe some fanart to compensate my fantasies.
Or hate a character so much that you want to punch them in the face

I prefer reading my books in silence, or sounds from the surrounding environment. I don't mind the music of a coffee shop, if I find myself reading there, and I don't mind television, if someone else watches it in the same room where I'm reading. But if I'm alone, and at home, I'll most likely turn or keep the tv or music off.
Sub something cozy like mocha for the wine, and it sounds heavenly.
hooray!!! so im not the only person who likes to get ready for reading a book!!
Book Hangover
I knew this was Harry Potter when I read the first one lol
Spend Wisely
I so spend time outside LISTENING to books as well as sitting under a tree with a nice hardcover, LARGE PRINT of course.
I prefer reading because I can concentrate better than when just listening....
Load More Replies...When my Mom would tell me to go outside I would just take my book out. She never said what I had to do outside just get fresh air. 😊
My mom didn't mind me reading. She's a retired literature teacher. (although, to be honest, there was a time I'd hardly ever read a book, actually, before I fell back in love with fiction in written form.)

Book Pity
My son volunteered for his high school's librarian as she was doing their library's needed renovation for technology. (yes, a school library actually GOT funding ) and she needed to discard older books that weren't getting used anyway. So the kids were allowed to take them home if they wanted, mostly books from the 70s and 80s. He was in HEAVEN. He is a history book addict, so these books were like gold to him.
I have never done this. Survival of the fittest applies to library books, too.
Secret Library Thoughts
When the 50 shades of grey fandom was growing my sister asked to borrow my library card, went into the library a few days later only to find out she'd checked 12 submissive erotic novels out! I was mortified!
Long Weekend
I absolutely hate it when this happens. Not only is my local library the place I get books from, it is the place where I can get the internet. I have a tablet at my house but I can barely do anything on it. In fact, I am typing this at the library right now. Yeah, I get it when their closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving but my aren't they open on Memorial Day and Columbus Day and stuff?
Most likely, because 1. you can plan in advance your trips to the library, because you know exactly when it's closed. 2. they got families, lives and for them it's a job, not a hobby. Would you like to work on the days off instead of enjoying your book?
