Countless clicks (I sacrificed my sleeping hours for this) were made while browsing through Etsy listings of tassel earrings. I was looking for extraordinary handmade jewellery with exceptional design, the one that stands out from the crowd.

I came up with a list of 10 most appealing designer shops from 7 countries across the globe– one from Turkey, UK, Latvia, Greece and Spain, two from Poland and Australia came as the most represented with total of 3 shops. One shop owner is a man, one is mother and daughter duo and other are female designers.

The ones that stood out with design and quality of work I present to you in order to salute to creators behind this work and sophisticated ears wearing these designer pieces.

1. Epuu // Istambul, Turkey, made by Ebru

“Epuu” is an Istanbul-based shop of women accessories made with high-quality venise lace mostly combined with chains, beads, metals and other textile supplies. Ebru says that searching and hunting for lace is one of the most exciting process in her job, because it is the lace itself that inspires her, its beauty and feminine look. Her work with accessories began as a hobby while studying Architecture, then it became a passion and a full-time job.
