I Captured a sacred Ise Jingu early in the morning.
Ise Jingu,located in Mie Prefectures the most venerated Shinto sanctuary of great spiritual and historical significance, which attracts more than eight million worshippers a year.
This sacred shrine consists of 125 shrines centering on the two main sanctuaries:Naiku and Geku.
Naiku is dedicated to Amaterasu Omikami,the supreme goddess shining like the sun, who is the ancestral kami of the imperial family of japan.
Geku is dedicated to Toyouke Omikami,the deity who offers sacred food to the supreme goddess.
This hallowed ground,surrounded by natural forest, has long been revered as the abode of Amaterasu Omikami,the guardian deity of Japanese people.
