They Thought This Kitten Was Going To Die, But Then She Met A Husky Named Lilo

Rosie the adorable kitten, found and rescued on the brink of death, was nursed back to health by Lilo the Siberian husky, who took the abandoned animal on as a puppy of her own. The then-three-week-old feline and her nanny dog bonded instantly, and after a week of tender and loving care, Rosie opened her eyes and began to walk on her own.

“She almost did not make it through the first night,” writes lilothehusky on Instagram, “even with round the clock care. Our cute kitten was lethargic and limp. So we decided to go out on a limb and let her cuddle extensively with our husky dog Lilo. By some miracle, she started suckling on Lilo and Lilo went full ‘mom mode’ and because of that this story has a happy ending.”

While surrogacy and animal friendships like these happen from time to time, lilothehusky warns against trying to force it: “Huskies are notorious for their intense prey drive!! So please please don’t run out and get a kitten (or a husky) expecting them to be best friends.”

God awful! The page, I mean. Who auto-starts multiple videos at a time when you load a page? Not a web designer.

We had this same thing happen. Had a 6 month old puppy who had never had a litter adopt a kitten and produce milk within a day or two. They're both full grown now. The cat turned out. huge (my guess, poodle milk made him grow) and they still treat each other as mother and child. It's weird, but it's cool.

Love this! Lilo may not be able to have puppies on her own, but she is a great mom! Glad little Rosie is okay. We humans need to learn a thing or two from them. Love knows no race - or species.

At the end of the day it's all about love... we all need love & nurturance or we weaken & die... they couldn't have named her better either, given that the Rose is the flower of love...& my name :D <3

Human women also can product milk even if they never had a baby. Adopting mothers managed to breastfeed their child that way. Nature gives us all when we trust in her =)
