A dog owner or a parent, though, has less time for such videos, and even less space in bed - it belongs to the dog now (it should also be noted that the reality of sleeping with your pooch is way less cute than you might imagine.) My dog goes under the covers and leans against me. If I am close to the edge he forces me out of bed. He only weighs 14 lbs but feels like 50 lbs of dead weight

I only get the whole bed to myself now because my boy is old and arthritic and can't get on the bed anymore. I miss him taking up 80% of the space!

Nope. My dog is an angel 99% of the time. When I was on crutches a few weeks ago, she was even better behaved. When I had to get up in the middle of the night to pee, she heard me stir and get up and she would go from her spot in the middle of the floor to her bed. She'd wait til I was back in bed before she got back up to lay in the middle of the floor again. She's very considerate. Also, she'd wait til I woke up in the morning before stirring and wouldn't head to the door until I was up She's normally very good but when I was on crutches, she was even better

I turn the channel or my husband turns the channel while I run out of the room with my fingers in my ears and humming loudly. My heart just hurts if I'm caught unawares.

I agree with all except only in the most positive ways. I wouldn't have it any other way. My doggies (plural) sleep with me, eat with me, walk with me, ride with me, wait for me...we have mutual admiration for each other! I'll love them as long as they have breath!

Well I refuse to be enslaved to an animal...however my husband has a psychological need for dogs...one tiny one sleeps with him on his side of the bed,the other 2 sleep in their kennels...I HAVE a dog,but days go by and I don't pet her or talk to her..she's a DOG..an ANIMAL...I'm not IN LOVE with her..no huggy kissy kind of relationship

Mine stay curled up under the covers even after I drag myself out of bed. They sleep through the alarm that sounds like a smoke detector going off.

I just bought a camping trailer so my dog does not have to sleep on the ground in a tent with me. She can sleep in a bed.

My dog was not that strong. He was very weak when we bought him. He loved me and i loved him like my Lil brother. My parents would not let him sleep with me but he wouldn't sleep unless he is in my room. He never liked being touched he was not that strong. But still he would sleep with his body touching me. I miss him a lot as he is no more. But he was such a loving buddy and brother i ever had! Dogs are the best of the gods creation and when i see some people hurting them for no reason. It really hurts. Why do people not see them as a living being for the least! These incidents reminds me of my buddy and makes me realize how much of things these people are missing by not experiencing the love of these kind and innocent creatures. Street dogs also will never attack unless they are harmed. Plz don't ever hurt them 😭

I'm a dog lover and a dog owner. My dogs aren't allowed to sleep in my bed, they have their own. I don't think they are the greatest, I've known better dogs but they are mine and I love them.
