Anyone who doesn’t feel a sense of existential dread on a Sunday evening because they have work on Monday morning is someone who has either learned to be Zen, actually likes what they do, has completely given up on their hopes and/or dreams, or hasn’t had a weekend off in years.
Even if you love your job to the max, there are some things that you probably wish you could change. The office politics, backstabbing, and bootlicking. The endless gossip and drama. The mind-numbing coffee machine and water cooler chitchat about what you did during the weekend (Netflix and food, right?). And, above all, the usually-tense relationships between upper management that are out for profit and the employees who feel that they deserve more respect, money, and better prospects.
To show you that pretty much everyone goes through the same hell, our hard-working Bored Panda team has collected some of the most hilarious, relatable, and tearfully on-point work memes to scroll through while you’re on your third coffee break today. Don’t forget to share these with your colleagues. Your boss, too, if you’re feeling bold!
Bored Panda had a chat about the state of the economy at the moment, what the future holds, what investors might want to consider doing, and how to get ahead at work with financial expert Sam Dogen. Sam is the author of ‘Buy This, Not That: How to Spend Your Way to Wealth and Freedom’ and is the founder of Financial Samurai. He told us that he expects to see inflation levels peak this year and begin declining in 2023. Meanwhile, he stressed that the bigger the company you work at, the harder it is to get ahead on merit alone which is why you have to learn to sell yourself.

That's like offering steep discounts to new customers while raising rates on longtime customers.
Live with a chronic medical issue? You don't get to decide what you do with your 24 hours
See? In my last job, they kept using the “QuITinG Is fOR LosErS”. One day I was like, b***h, I may be a loser, but I ain’t an idiot. So glad I quit the stupid job.
Seriously. It won't get you more money or promoted, it will get your job to take advantage of you.
This one speaks so poud. The cost everything goes up and gets inflated but the pay rate and minimum wage goes up 50 cents every 10 years.
We weren't put on this earth for this I feel we are all on a massive hamster wheel forever running to keep up but ultimately getting nowhere
The fact that none of my predecessors had stayed more than six months should have been a red flag, but the owner was a family friend, how was I supposed to know want a massive d**k he was to his employees?
Nope...you'll be expected to to do more and more for the same rate.
My old boss, who we are friends & no longer work together just told me what she made. I was hired 10 years after her, had less responsibility & was hired at 30% more. Wish I told her sooner.
Most of the dumb stuff at my jobs so far has stemmed from the owner not entirely understanding how their business actually works day to day and having no interest in learning.
Education is moving towards "collaboration" with businesses to specifically train students in needed fields, so that many can graduate and move directly into a job. HOWEVER, I think this can also be a fox in the hen house scenario, cranking out cogs to fit into the wheel. We also need innovators.
Yes. If you're not being paid, don't work. Never work for free.
Unfortunately, most people nowadays don't realize that most of the employment rights they are afforded under the law are because of the past actions of unionized workers!
I used to sell Crocs at the mall and a lady didn't like the quality so she proceeded to cuss me out in Spanish and launch the shoe at me. I don't miss that place.
As a teacher, the first and last two weeks are the worst. You literally get this way within 2 minutes!
Well done millennials, the world is dying because of humans' uncontrolled breeding
No, long commutes are bad for the environment. Rents in cities should be more affordable and working from home should be more normal
Not me literally convincing my friend to quit his job and come to where I work (where things are still not the best, but much better than his previous job) and cheering when he put in his two weeks
We have the opposite problem, almost a complete lack of communication and information needed to do our jobs. A meeting every now and then would actually be nice lol.
When your position consists solely of doing this along with doing your real job.
When you find a better job before coworkers that have been there many more years than you.
Yes, stay an additional week to train them for an extra sum of money that is less than a McDonald's sign on bonus.
I literally posted on Instagram how I was going to be nicer to customers who were jerks because it wasn't worth it to get stressed out and then got into a fight with a customer and quit that same night.
Noon, it would’ve been way before then had I worked days in the last job
Employer, "Can you perform under pressure?" Me "No, but I can whistle Bohemian Rhapsody"
The last couple of years have been hell in nearly every job. Employers have stagnated wages and increased workloads and demands. No one tells me when I am doing a good job. I am only told when I do the least thing wrong. I am hearing this from nearly every profession. Things need to change, but aren't, so workers are making the change themselves.
Same here. Add to that a new narcopath for a boss. Made it halfway through the pandemic without anxiety or depression. New boss? Well hello Agoraphobia, my old friend.
