Instagram Model Uploads Her Pic To R/Roastme, Deletes Account After One Comment Goes Too Far
318Kviews
The internet can be a cruel place, and most of us try to avoid nastiness if possible – however, in one subreddit group, people go to seek it out, and things can get ugly. Instagram influencer Niece Waidhoifer went to the subreddit group r/Roast Me to post a picture of herself holding up a sign that read “r/Roast Me,” in what some thought was an attempt at fishing for compliments.
As someone with 958k Instagram followers, Waidhoifer must already know what kind of mean-spirited, hurtful words flow in the comment sections of the internet – but one user reminded her with a judgmental roast some people felt went too far.
Instagram model Niece Waidhoifer went to the subreddit r/Roast Me to get some funny disses thrown her way but one comment she received caught her attention
Most people in the group simply roast based on appearance since not most of the people are unknown, and there is nothing to judge their personality on. The group description reads: “Hone your roasting skills, meet other roasters, and get yourself roasted! Everybody needs to laugh at themselves! And other people, of course!” Well, a user by the name ‘paross’ decided to roast below the belt – and it’s safe to say the Instagram model wasn’t laughing.
After the comment, the model deleted her Reddit account – but then posted a response to the situation on her Instagram

“Alright guys, let’s have a talk. First of all, don’t worry, I’m all good, no need to send condolences to my family, haha. Yes, I did ask for this.
Yes, I totally freaked out and deleted my Reddit account; my dumb ass used my Instagram username, and judging by the flood of deeply disturbing/visually penisgraphic DMs I was getting, I did not want to lead them here. I see you found me anyway. Hi Reddit! To the people who thought I was just fishing: on r/RoastMe? …wut.
To the “ex” who posted: It doesn’t sound like we’ve ever met; also, you spelled my name wrong… #IbeforeEexceptafterC. So, in summary, I am a dumbass, and I make Reddit really, really angry.
Thank you to the majority of commenters, who were actually funny, and thank you to all the nice people who had my back against the rude people who just got excited about a free pass to use the “c” word. Love you guys.”
Many people in the comments were supportive of Waidhoifer and agreed the comment wasn’t funny

hmmm! she actually asked for it... "roast me" is crying for attention!
I agree with you. posting yourself on a roast channel, will get you this. And the "roast" she got, appears to be true for a whole lot of instagram "models". So.. maybe she got a reality check, whether it was needed or not. If unneeded, she can just let that slide off. If needed, I hope she realizes there may be some truth in this and put some more attention into inside.
HAHAHA.... Marko M: "Instagram modeling is a job like any other"... HAHAHAHAAA...
@Marko your words would be true if the comment was on Facebook or Instagram & on a random post but she actually asked for it. ++ there should be a direct link between the amount of talent, time spent to learn it & the effort you put on a job, with the payment. like any other frauds, Instagram models are using people (the young generation including me) to earn money. so... no! I'm not jealous. I'm angry with a world that a MD, a true artist or a firefighter, earns less than a 16 years old girl(or boy), shaking his ass in front of camera. I'm not jealous. I'm angry. (sorry for my English again. it's my 4th language)
@ama-nee I'm angry because we have something called Instagram model (or influencer)! Governments are not paying Instagram influencers. we are. with our stupidity.
@Soba if a firefighter earns less than an Instagram model, you don't get angry at the Instagram model. You get angry at your government that underpays your firefighters.

Or maybe she's just a pretty girl who found an easy way to earn some cash, and people who can't handle that decided to trash-talk her cause they are jealous? Instagram modeling is a job like any other, not much different than real modeling. I don't understand why they are immediately seen as shallow. It's quite literally her JOB to draw attention to both herself and the products she advertises.
@Marko instagram modeling isn't even real modeling it's just taking selfies or pictures of things you get for free and NO it is certainly NOT like any other job. Don't compare them to the unsung heroes that safe people everyday. Get it right.
@Marko also she asked for it. Lmao

yeah! it could work both ways. it's like asking someone to punch you and then saying you punched me really hard. don't ask for things you can't handle (out of boredom). + we know how it works these days. any kind of exposure is good for money.
I am too old for this. I don't get it. Everything I read above is about getting attention and it's about polishing the ego and self-projection. Be it the initial post or the response. Maybe it's just me, but my advise would be - Get a live and stop acting like you are 15 or 16.

All these people lying to themselves, makes me sad. The guy was SPOT-ON but people just can't handle it. It's modeling. You don't mind it when they model outfits for big brands but it's a whole different story when they advertise themselves. Why is that?
"Instagram modelling" is not a job.
That commenter was 100% correct. She was looking for compliments because she's insecure. She needs to sort out her insecurities. And the fact that the comments hit Abrams nerve and caused her to delete the account confirms that.

Lol....judging by all your downvotes you might want to rethink your position.
So the other person went a bit far, but seriously, why post a "perfect" image of yourself and ask to be roasted, when you know everyone is just going to tell you how gorgeous you are. The whole thing is sad.
But... they were right. Roasting and being "an influencer" IS crying for attention. Talk to any shrink - they'll tell you the same. Paross is right about her. Her deleting action just proves him/her right about the "model".
Who knew you were going to get roasted when asking to get roasted.
Don' t do this "roast me"-Sh*t and everything is fine
My first thought (in headline form): Woman requests to be roasted, deletes acount after someone does so.
What is an Instagram model? Is it one step below Instagram influencer?
The rude comment have a raw truth which touched the hidden insecurity of this young woman. And I think is a comment for all who request "roast meβ. In my opinion a person who meets the standards of beauty, as fashion, media and society imposes on them, when he asks "roast me" in essence does not wait for negative comments. Through funny comments he will get the confirmation of his beauty. If a person does not meet the beauty standards and asks for it to "roast", he may be looking for comments that will confirm his negative thoughts about his external beauty. So I would do if there was an internet at the time I was a teenager. I did not meet the beauty standards and if I put a photo I would expect confirmation of my negative thoughts, or a comment of hope that I'm not that ugly like I was seeing myself in the mirror. What a waste of energy and time !

A real roast?..there is a reason your an Instagram model instead of a professional.. Like your too short, too old..and sure your cute...but there are plenty of cute women in the world..so get over yourself. Your not that pretty
What did she expect? Second..how shallow is she that she belongs to a group that rips people soley on appearance Third..this commenter is right. Good looking people are given things in life..including the ability to gain wealth, power, security by simply marrying it.. then when the looks fade..
"Good looking women are given things in life" FIFY. Good looking men, except maybe very very few, are given things in life.
But the shoe fits...
A very insightful roast and completely accurate. When you spend all your energy seeking attention from strangers on the internet, what kind of person are you really? This girl would probably wither and be lost without it. She's come to depend on it like air. And it's all an illusion.
Let's be honest she went on the suggest it the same reason she posted here..for the attention. She figured she is so pretty that any shot at her looks in a roast would be playful at best. The commenter is correct..she is very insecure about her looks, her need to be the center of the world...it was probably the best way to wake her up..life isn't fair and beauty fades
Maybe the roaster was more aggressive than necessary but her deleting her account just proved his point lol. The commenter's roast obviously struck a chord with her and she got offended. If you ask to get roasted you should expect anything, even the truth.
Has anyone noticed the original comment was 4 years ago? Hardly current
Yeah, that should be on Reddits "murdered by words".
She is nice to look at...

If you like jerking off to store window mannequins, sure.
I'm sorry to hear that you are incapable of looking at something without jerking off
most ig models are shallow and look for handouts....next
So you say roast me but you mean say nice things about me, that's not how it works. Why would you do it anyway? I agree the reason is insecurity. Mirror, mirror...
Welp......there's 5 minutes I won't get back.
lady, you asked for it! you obviously thought that since you were a model no one would say anything rude. you deserved it, now stop begging for attention.
If you want attention, you get it. No damage control can change that anymore. Internet won't forget, lol.
That person should write poetry and respond to Dear Abby questions!
I have never understood the roast me trend. Like... go ahead and make me feel bad about myself? Aren't there more than enough opportunities in real life?
Attention seeker. Literally She got a punch in the gut and then didn't like it.
She asked for it, the guy went too far, but she got what she asked for
Boohoo, life is so hard as an Instawhore...
She got served. π½
People need to remember that "followers" don't mean "friends".
Everyone who is like her should read and digest that roast because it spells it all out perfectly.

the commentator is correct shes a dumb ass
Funny to see all they guys acting supportive because they secretly want to get into her pants. The whole comment list is just a confirmation of what paross so eloquently wrote.
Itβs not compulsory to be unkind or manipulative
Hey its you again π the homophob
If you can't take the heat don't get the roast... It will burn you every time. π₯ππΈπΈ
I really shouldn't say this, and I know I'm going to get a lot of downvotes, and also reply to this comment because I want to see how others react to my reaction after reading most of these comments. : Bored Panda sucks these days. People are so rude. People hate attractive people. People hate insecure people. People agree with the people who hurt other people. I'm just so tired of this. I don't know what to do. Nobody really understands if they're not that person who gets hurt.
What do you expect? Reddit is where the Red Pill cult lives.
So you invite people to insult you on the internet and when it happens you are a victim? Seems to me that a lot of people should be banned from the internet.
Is this the new improved Bored Panda? If i want to see reddit post, I will go to reddit.
Any "instagram model" deserves that exact roast. These people are so stupid!!
If you want to be roasted, deal with the roast. Don't expect to people be nice with X person just because X has certain amount of """Fame""". Even less on the internet were people goes sicko mode because of the anonymity
What is this s**t here on BoredPanda? I don't want to see meaningless posts like this.
"Roast" colloquially means "insult" and "belittle." I'd say the bitter screed fulfilled the request.
Oh my god, literally the entire point of the whole subreddit is exactly BS like that comment. Of course people are going to 'take it too far' and not just do cute little quips. It's the internet. If anything I'm moreso amazed at the people that take it seriously - have you never read comments sections? Oof. People are terrible, their opinions don't matter, have a thick skin. Take care of yourself. If you can't take anything people can (and will) dish at you - don't go looking for it.
she received what she asked for.
Totally agree with this dude, or whoever the response was from. Yes, she's gorgeous. But so is Kim Kardashian - and she's about as interesting than a half-chewed pork chop. Looks aren't everything.
Not the Instagram influencers again :/.
I think the roast was absolutely true of her and other Instagram "influencers". I think the fact that she deleted it means she was hurt by it. It takes a lot of confidence to ask strangers to roast yourself.
why is the "roaster's" comment made 4 years ago?
I'm guessing the comment nailed it for accuracy. Tired of "Instagram models" already. Get a real job like everyone else...you can't do that forever. After 30 your "Insta-years" are used up. So try and become something else besides an "influencer".
well, that's the roasting...tossed with more charcoal, kerosene and whoomfff!! think 10x before you do anything. trust me.
This story is over two years old, why is this just being posted now? Not to mention this is all stupidity to begin with.
Her "model" job isn't going so well, so she needs more exposer?
I don't know I think it's fair and humorous to turn seriously psychological in a RoastMe. it's unexpected totally left field and so accurate to the request it almost stumps!
I remember this roast. Fun times. πππ»
Roasting according to the official subreddit: "Roasting (v.) - To humorously mock or humiliate someone with a well-timed joke, diss or comeback. (As defined by urbandictionary) Hone your roasting skills, meet other roasters, and get yourself roasted! Everybody needs to laugh at themselves! And other people, of course!" See that people? The words are joke, humor, and laugh. Nowhere does it say anything about attempting to mentally mess people up through deep psychological cruelty and the "roast" wasn't humorous in the least. Y'all miss the point entirely
This comment has been deleted.
The roaster was right.
I before e except after c isn't true either, why they teach that to children i will never know.
Yes, every post on social media is a form of attention-seeking. Every selfie, every tweet, every "roast me" request. But guess what? Every post denouncing and exposing attention-seeking and consumerist culture is also attention-seeking and a product of consumerist culture. It's a vicious circle.
Mocking people for seeking attention while pretending that you wrote this whole rant not for attention. Perfect plan.
I am impressed and a bit stunned by how, honestly, it could be true and how crushing badass commenter was. Not good but don't go to RΜΆuΜΆsΜΆsΜΆiΜΆaΜΆ the forest if you're afraid of PΜΆuΜΆtΜΆiΜΆnΜΆ bears
Truth hurts.... She comes across as a dumb bitch. Don't ask to be roasted if you don't want to be roasted, dummy.
She DID ask for it. Looks like she was looking for compliments so boost her low self-esteem.
All right but the comment had omit an important bit that everyone seems to miss: "And I will trade with you in an heart beat".
"iInfluencer "...um, next.
why am i reading this....
Still looks better and gets more kindness from other people than all of you.
Honestly i kinda agree with the comment.....i just wouldn't say that all out loud.
Remember when Michael, Gob and Lindsay were saying mean things about their mother Lucille and then Buster says something too. They're like 'nice' but then Buster really goes for it (it's BLEEB BLEEB -bad) and everybody is like wow... yeah it's kinda like that.
Maybe it was a case of it takes one to know one, because there's way too many details on "how she feels deep inside".
It's not i before e except after c, all the time. My last name proves that
I think what the toaster wrote was pretty deep. Lmao
Roaster*** XD
I understand that there is a chance this person is right, and I honestly have no care for either side of this story. But, perhaps some things are simply better off unsaid. I know this is the classic "if you don't have anything good to say.." thing, but I just feel like it was the slightest bit rude to insult someone's personality. Besides, people like how the commenter described rarely change, so it is a tad pointless..? I can see the points from either side, though.aatad..pointlessBut again,
I generally agree with the "if you don't have anything good to say.." But this was on the r/roastme sub. The whole point of it is for people to say something NOT good. There's no saving this one, she was asking for it.
True, very true.
wow, I can't type
neeithrca ni -no, really, it's fine-i understood it:)
I would have posted : OK. At least, your nails are real !
I mean she clearly has got the looks so what else were people gunna roast? I know they donβt know her personally but Iβm assuming she knows well enough there isnβt much to roast physically hence why she posted
I you want to be roasted, deal with the roast. Don't expect to people be nice with X person just because X has certain amount of """Fame""". Even less on the internet and even more less on reddit were people goes sicko mode because of the anonymity
The reddit 'Roast Me' is stupid because a proper Roast is done from people who actually know you or know of you. To properly Roast someone you should at least know them for a while; not just by the picture they're posting. Where is the fun in that?
Sigh. People, r/Roastme is a subreddit for humour. Persons post pictures of themselves, whether they look like a model or a hobo, and redditors comment a clever insult based on appearances. Example: This one where someone pokes fun on Markiplier, a successful youtuber. People post pictures for different reasons. Some feel confident nothing could get them down. Some love to poke fun at themselves. The motives of the poster vary from person to person. The Instagram model's motives are unknown, and assuming she was fishing for compliments shows that you know nothing about the subreddit or what the word 'roast' means. That person definitely went too far and it shocks me how much people here are justifying it because they don't know what roasting is. 5b78d6425f...0-jpeg.jpg

That long comment that instigated her deleting the account sounds almost word for word the same as what was said during South Park season 11 episode 14 titled the list. Well i don't know her, when your beautifull on the outside doesn't mean that your shallow or ugly on the inside. So i don't know if the roaster got her as a fair target for his alligations. Maybe she is a great person, then this is just as bitter as the roaster claims her to become in the future. I can say on the other hand that the description the roaster gave, is relatable to some 'beautifull' people. Some are seeking attention, some are shallow and some are insecure. It's not bullshit he/she is posting, but i don't now if he applied it to the right person here. I don't know if even he or she knows. First get to know someone before you post things like this about them. On the other hand ; she asked to be offended by others. Although this wasn't a simple roast

Ahaha all your comments make no.sense you are acting like they did this to her for no reason... A roast is just that to poke fun of the roastee.... Did you miss something or are you trying to be angry about some hidden feminist agenda that just isn't there. She openly asked for this what don't you get?
The roast was absolutely true.

Female and visible you mean?
What does gender have to do with this?
Just give up. Out of all of your comments no upvotes
I guess that was a stronger Dark Roast. You need to be more specific when you place your order.
the commentator is correct shes a dumb ass
