After the treasure from Costa Rica, I bring you gems from this stunning South American country—Ecuador.

Although Ecuador is one of the smaller countries in South America, it boasts an incredible diversity of habitats that support a fantastic array of wildlife. With a list of more than 1500 species of birds, many of which are shared only with adjacent Columbia or Peru, it is difficult to imagine a more exciting birding destination.

The country is hospitable and so are the people, who always have a warm smile and help in the conservation of wildlife.

I have traveled within Ecuador for a few years now. Every time I visit the cloud forests or the Amazon, I fall in love with this country all over again!

These are some of my photographs to show you guys how beautiful the varied species of this country are.

I hope you enjoy it!

All photos are taken from my Canon 1dx mark II and 600mm lens..

It's face is sideways, and if you look reaaalllly closely at the red fluff thing, you can just barely make out the tip of its beak lol. It took me a minute

I love hummingbirds. They're so tiny it makes their feathers look like scales, and that makes them look like fast little dragons.

That’s a green wing macaw , not a scarlet, green band on the feathers and the red markings on the face.

I've seen one of these in real life, their colours are unbelievable, photo only just does it justice but any saturation and it would have looked filtered I suppose!

Probably breeding plumage, and a male. Females are usually more drab, as they sit on the nest and have to blend in.

So God invented paintbrushes before he invented animals? I thought paintbrushes were made with animal hair.
