Eggs are not necessarily an animal. Hens lay eggs whether a rooster is with the flock or not. If no rooster the eggs can't be fertile. The eggs turn into nothing since not fertilized and will rot. So no animal is harmed.

Care to explain more? Did someone bring eggs or something knowing its a vegan wedding? Its not worth freaking out about, regardless, but in general, vegans view any animal product as off limits, some even going so far as honey. Vegetarians are more apt to not find an issue with eggs. Whether someone personally agrees with that or not is on them. If something happened that was an honest mistake, then people need to let it go, but if someone brought something knowingly to a wedding in order to cause a fuss, then a bride is right to be upset with them. Regardless, try to honor a bride and grooms decisions about a wedding, it’s their day. That doesnt mean they get to be dictators for a day, but if its something fairly reasonable, then respect it, or don’t go.
