Drove by my old high school. The parking lot is now covered -- you park under an array of solar panels!

When Jimmy Carter was president he had solar panels installed on the roof of the White House. When Ronald Reagan was elected, he had them removed.

Probably best to do a "percentage of sunny days" calculation, but there a lot that could be done this way

To those that subscribe to pendulum theory politics - the brainwashed masses say that because there are other brainwashed masses that believe capitalism can't and shouldn't be harnessed to fix the climate - that only the government should do it. The vast majority of us, actually fall somewhere in between.

The recent cases of polio in NY are Vaccine-Derived Poliovirus. This mean it originated with someone who was vaccinated. There are two types of polio vaccines. The occasionally those in close contact can become infected through feces and if the transmission from person to person occurs long enough, it can cause mutations making it more dangerous however it should be noted that 10 billion doses of the oral polio vaccine administered since 2000, there have been less than 800 cases of Vaccine-Derived Poliovirus. "The oral version of the vaccine the live attenuated (weakened) vaccine virus provides better immunity in the gut, which is where polio replicates. The vaccine virus is also excreted in the stool, and in communities with low-quality sanitation, this means that it can be spread from person to person and actually help protect the community."1 and was part of what eradicated polio in the Americas, Europe and Africa.

Omg the vaccine ended and if you are under a certain age you haven't received it! It’s like inoculation of smallpox! It was eradicated (mostly) and so many don’t receive it, not because of morons like anti-vaxxers, but because it has been eliminated!
