I have two passions – art and pugs. I was able to mix these two strong hobbies in the Great Pugs series of my paintings.
What is the point? I take famous portraits and turn the main characters into pugs. For me, this is an opportunity to pay tribute to the great masters and an attempt to look at the famous masterpieces from another angle. New times call for new heroes, but masterpieces is unrivaled.
Now Great Pugs collection has about twenty works and it continues to be regularly increase. Many paintings are in private collections, and some of these portraits are still looking for their home.

Beautiful artwork, you`re very talented! :) However, unfortunately these doggies have breathing problems (so its better to have retro pugs instead of pugs as pets. They still look remarkably like pugs but are healthier.) Sorry if I`m being ignorant. But again, beautiful art!
I'm a happy pug owner and I agree with you that the modern breed standard is not so good for dogs. Therefore, I do everything I can to keep my dog healthy and happy. Pugs are incredible and deserve all the best )

Pugs are inbred and unhealthy, But it's good to have an owner that strives to take care of their special health issues. And the artwork is great!
