When were you looking for something when it was in your hand the whole time?

In front of the whole class i was searching my whole desk for my pencil. Was looking around with my free hand was completing a sheet with the other hand at the same time, USING MY PENCIL.
Once, whilst on the phone talking, I was getting off the bus, did a quick pocket check with my other hand, making sure I had everything with me, I had a quick panic because I could not find my phone.
Was reading an article on my phone, I started looking all around me and panicking because I couldn't find my phone.
ik it wasn't in my hand but I was looking for my glasses because I was trying to watch a chinese movie with really small subtitles.
they were on my face.
my family did not tell me.
