I need help with a work situation. Today I shared something with a co-worker who shared back and asked me not to repeat what they told me. Part of what I shared was that I speak with someone from a different location, that my boss doesn't know that I speak with that person, and that I don't want my boss to know.

Later in the day, my boss says to me: "So, Suzy told me you speak with Sally." I was in extreme shock, admitted that I did dialog with that person but that it was personal in nature. Boss not happy, wants me to not dialog with Sally.

I'll make my own decision about Sally, but what to do about Suzy? Confront her, let it go, slap her? Please help.

Take it as a lesson learned and move on. But No more sharing with Suzy.

Now that you know about Suzy, let it go. Anything else will alert her that her snitch to boss made it back to you. Don’t giveaway you know.

Suzy has a big mouth. She wants you to keep her secrets but she doesn't keep yours. Remember this famous quote: Three can keep a secret only if two of them are dead.
No more sharing with Suzy. But keep your cards close to your vest and don't let her know that you know she is a snitch. You may be able to get information from her.

Lie to people like Suzy. Lie to them and about them. And in person, call her by the wrong name. Bring donuts to the office for everyone but her.
