I have a bunch of dance competitions coming up soon that need a little(let’s be fair,a LOT) of extra luck for.

#1

well, its good to not rely on luck alone, be sure to practice your choreography as much as you can, to the point there is no way you can do it wrong. practice it with every single second of free time you have, or even when you are standing or line or something. literally anywhere.

but you know, i understand how some people may want to rely on luck, when some things are out of their hands, including myself sometimes. so i guess here's what i got:

- wear ur pajamas inside out to bed
- sleep with a spoon under ur pillow
- make a wish/or wish for luck at 11:11 (am or pm should work, and my area uses a 12 hour clock instead of a 24 hour one, but ig it should work at 23:11 too)
- finding a penny on the road, throw it into the woods as hard as u can while thinking about what u need luck for
- four leaf clover. if u pluck it, its good luck, but if u leave it there, you get a wish
- if you see an oddly colored car u get good luck
- trying to change something slightly about urself(new hairstyle/haircut, new clothes, new shoes, something different) if nobody notices u have good luck

what i might recommend(besides practicing) is trying to calm ur nerves about it. heres what i do:

- read a book or watch a show or consume media where one of the characters is struggling with something similar to what ur struggling with. for example, when i was going to emcee for a pretty big event, i was kinda nervous, so i read a comic book on how the main character was also struggling with emceeing as well. the book had a happy ending, and so did my emceeing day!

- talk to anybody who's going through the same thing as you. for example, ur doing a dance competition, right? if ur doing a group one, maybe talk to ur group mates!

i know these things can be hard, and i know what ur going through. good luck and tell me how it goes!
