Contemporary embroidery doesn’t only mean modern styles and techniques, topical messages or new ways to use it but also a modern approach in organizing your work.

Today when the society is clearly shifting to more self-care in their work-life balance and want to maintain the same or higher level of productivity with less stress and less time spent, many embroiderers including myself have chosen to switch to work-from-anywhere mode.

The process isn’t that difficult to organize but it brings so much more inspiration and thrill compared to embroidering on a couch. I have experience embroidering on beaches in Portugal, and during autumn evenings spent in Paris and even in the largest city north of the Arctic Circle while it was -38°C outside. As a contemporary embroidery artist, you are free to choose your style, your message, and your workplace.
