Often you can see videos and GIFs, which show distortion of the face depending on the lens focal length. In fact, these examples lead to misunderstanding, because the most noticeable part of these distortions is not due to the focal length of your lens, but to the distance from which you take pictures. We shot this short video that shows the basics of linear perspective and geometry, which affects the facial distortion when shooting at close range.
