The work is about London’s disappearing live music venues. I’ve looked into the history of some of the most iconic places and the bands that played there over the years, and then tried to find ways to capture this visually by combining images of the architecture with visual clues to famous albums. So there is Nirvana at the London Astoria and The Clash at the Hammersmith Palais… I’ve looked to create scenes that have a surreal, haunting quality to them, whilst also telling a little thread of the story of why these venues were so legendary.
