We Turned An American School Bus Into A Hostel On Wheels
16Kviews
We’re Val and Tim, the co-founders of The Nomads Bus. Together with our kid, our dog and guests, we’re exploring Europe.
After a summer in Spain and a winter in Austria, we’re now driving through Norway. We have six beds for guests, a wood stove to keep us warm in winter, an amazing rooftop deck and all the amenities you could possibly wish for.

This is The Nomads Bus
And that’s us
Together with our kid, our dog and guests we’re exploring Europe
Welcome inside!
The living room, you can also turn this into a couch. The construction is the same on both sides. We can also make one long table out of it or a big bed
The kitchen where Val cooks breakfast and dinner for the guests
It might look small but it’s the best kitchen I ever had
Enamel is the best thing ever, definitely on a skoolie!
The dorm room and a good gas stove and oven
Super comfy beds for our guests with mountains windows and USB plugs
Nice and warm down blankets and pillows
Cupboards for all the guests
A nice and warm shower and extra sink
A Swedish compost toilet called Separett
Our room
Our daughter’s bed
We love our bedroom, such a cozy space!
This sheep band wanted to create an ablum cover for the bus
This is our bus in Norway
Here we are in Denmark
Fjords of Norway
Somewhere in between
Enjoying our adventure hostel on wheels

What a lovely way to travel.
This is amazing, as good as a winnebago! Although one thing that puzzles me is where do you get a school bus so big!?!
We bought it in Tennessee and shipped it to Belgium
I know that some companies in America sell buses when they get old I imagine they have something similar in Europe.
I can't speak for every country in the Eu but I'm fairly certain that doesn't happen in the Netherlands at least. Plus we don't really have school busses.
Is anyone else thinking of the knight bus from harry potter? This is a better, more comfy version of it (:
haha a lot more comfy ;)
