We write and draw comics about superheros (and super-villains!) who struggle with their mental health. Just like us, these candy-coloured characters would love to spend all their time saving the world - but sometimes it's just really, really hard to leave the house.

Writing the comics is a HUGE and very welcome distraction from the rest of our busy lives - staring at walls, letting cups of coffee go cold, agoraphobia, and beating our highest scores on Candy Crush. And they usually make our readers smile - if only for a short while.

Alex draws the pictures and sometimes writes the words. Xanna writes the words but doesn't draw the pictures. (At least not yet - but maybe Alex should take care the next time he comes round for a cup of tea and it tastes suspiciously like almonds. Bwah-ha-ha-ha!)

There's a new comic every Monday - on Facebook (Super Depressed), Twitter (@depressedheroes) Tumblr and Instagram (super depressed comic). Be a hero! Join us!
