Christians in particular claim that Christianity is about love, and yet Christian history is filled with warfare, bloodshed, and humanitarian atrocities. And I can't remember a time when the Catholic Church excommunicated a Mafia member for egregious sins. And Jesus said that the wealthy would have a hard time getting into heaven, but Religions (notice the capital "R" please) seem to have no problem with billionaires, as long as they make large donations.
The " my god is better than your god" attitude that is still prevalent in today's world is the cause of so much suffering, death, and oppression.
