I Create Vinyl Toys Inspired By Delicious Foods

I have enjoyed art my whole life and explored many types of media and canvases. About three years ago, I started customizing vinyl toys and have done over 700 of them since. My main toy platform I use is a Munny from Kidrobot.

Because I am also a big foodie, it has become my recent source of inspiration for many of my newer pieces. My biggest challenge is making each custom vinyl toy look realistic and good enough to eat but still maintain the Munny’s shape.

My name is Zard. I'm a toy artist originally from Guam now living in San Diego. I love art and I love food so why not combine the two, right? I interpret my favorite food through the hundreds of customized toys I've done and try to make them as real as possible where it looks good enough to eat.

So the toy is vinyl then I use a special clay that I can add on to the toy to change the shape and add details to them.
