Technically, according to vegans, vegans can't have pets as it is seen as animal exploitation.

Most "carnivorous" mammals are actually omnivores that prefer meat but can survive without. Note the word "survive" Cats on the other hand actually NEED it. They will not survive. They will go blind and eventually die without it.
