Absolutely. I hope her rice paddy is so abundant next year, she will have to have 12 times the help she normally has, just to harvest it all.

Not only this kind lady but also many farmers in several nearby villages allowed their rice paddies to be flooded to help rescuing the boys. Also refused compensations from government. They all have hearts of gold.

This lovely man lives in my town. I can no longer donate anything, blood, or platelets due to a medical condition. I urge you to be like him! He found out as a kid after falling ill, and by total random chance that he had the anti-bodies. He had been given blood by someone else when he was ill at 14 years old I believe, and he and the doctors think THAT blood donation was what set the chain of events in action. Amazing guy. Please donate blood. It really really is life saving. I should know, I have had iron transfusions from donated blood.

    This Is Captain Black

    This Is Captain Black

This is Captain Black. He works at the live bait shop. I was watching him shoo away all the hungry pelicans, frustrated. “Damn birds, get out of here.” finally they dispersed. Then I hear him call out to someone named Albert. “Albert! Where are you?! Get over here!” I figured it was an employee. Then I see another pelican waddle over. I’m thinking he’s gonna get whacked. Captain black turns to him. “Hey Albert. Get some breakfast.” I notice that Albert’s beak is broken and he can’t compete with the other hungry birds. Capt black starts petting and hand-feeding him. “Don’t tell anybody, sweetheart.” Goddamn people can be the best

That so amazing! I got to help a injured bird (Inthink it was kind of woodpecker with bright red chest feathers and a long beak) that got caught in a bush that’s next to our front walk way. The pour little bird looked like a cat got to it and was trying to get away. I carefully wrapped it up in a bath towel so as not to hurt it. I gave it as much love as I could, strocking the back of its neck and check area. Use an eye dropper to give it water to keep it hydrated. Called the Humans Society to see what to do with it, they said we couldn’t keep a wild animal. It was a Friday after 7pm so everything was closed until Monday. Unfortunately the pour little bird died on Saturday evening. We barred him under our big Oak tree in our back area. Making a difference one random act of kindness at a time. 💜

The women actually need signed permission from their husband or male guardian to even be allowed to apply for a license, so for many women in Saudi Arabia, nothing has changed. The Saudi government is fooling no one with these warm and fuzzy pictures.

Sunday, June 24, 2018. The first day of women driving legally in Saudi Arabia. On August 3rd, the Canadian foreign policy tweet saying " Canada is gravely concerned about additional arrests of civil society and women’s rights activists in #SaudiArabia, including Samar Badawi. We urge the Saudi authorities to immediately release them and all other peaceful #humanrights activists." led to the expulsion from the backward absolute monarchy of the Canadian ambassador and a host of other measures. We eat cold dinners so they can have a hot meal. We give up hours of badly needed rest so we can make sure they know there are no monsters under the bed/in the closet. We give up outings with friends and spouses so we can attend an important Barbie tea party complete with pink Tutu. The sacrifices we make for our kids is minimal when you reap the rewards of seeing what wonderful adults they become.

I think its appropriate to thank God that someone helped, just as its appropriate to thank the young men for not ignoring the situation.

I don't know if this is technically possible at all, but couldn't you install sensors that warn the subway driver with a signal: there's something on the tracks?

It's made me cry! Thank goodness the rescuers weren't electrocuted or run over. That poor blind guy had a terrible shock from the fall and knowing what danger he was in. And the rescuers are absolute heros 👍❤

I pick up trash all day at work that other people leave... my O’Reillys Distribution Center is disgusting! And my other co-workers always just walk right pass the trash (ie: shrink wrap pieces, random pieces of paper, broken pieces of pallets, etc.) I do it all day. But I have to do it. It bugs the c**p out of me to see it all over the floor. Plus some things can be considered a tripping hazard.

My father & I worked for O'Reillys retail (some years back), and the schedules do not afford for cleanliness, just sales. Corporate culture leads the charge, and the messiness is a symptom of bad management.

I noticed all the cigarette butts around him too. Of all the garbage thrown away carelessly, this one irritates me the most. Cigarette butts will fray when they get wet and look a lot like chunks of bread. Ducks and Geese will eat these and clog up their intestines..eventually dying from being unable to process food. Stop throwing cigarette butts on the ground people!!!

That’s what they’re there for! At my work (O’Reilly Distribution Center) when the District Manager comes for a visit and sees me cleaning, he’s always happy! There’s only a hand full of reg. employee (there’s over 250 employees at my DC) he sees doing this. I WANT to tell a few people that I’ve gotten a bonus on my paycheck (even though I don’t) just to see if how many will start to pick trash up when they see it on the floor. 🤔🤔😁😁

It is really hard for autistic people, let alone a bi-polar person with autism! So, this is just adorably sweet of him to do this. People with disabilities aren't always lacking in empathy, sometimes they just can't express it vocally due to the wiring of the brain overloading certain other inputs at the time. This is so sweet, his apology.

My grandson who is 6, Autistic, has outbursts as well. His 8-year-old sister doesn't understand why he "hates" her. When she says that, he cries and says sorry at least a hundred times. It is frustrating for us, can you imagine how frustrating it is for him? Always, stop and think before getting angry. Some people just cannot help it. You never know.

My autistic son had outbursts when he was a kid. A few years ago, he apologised to me. I don't know why, but I always assumed he couldn't remember afterward. He never talked about it before.

#FathersLoveNeverDies I have a piece that I made (in 1976) for my late Father that he had on his desk at Boeing for 35 years. After cleaning out some of his things from his house in 2012- I came across it and he had carved on the back “From the best daughter a Father could ever have”. He had never told me he did that, it sent me into uncontrollable tears for days. I’m getting choked up just typing this right now. I miss his so much.

When I was growing up, I never understood why parents actually liked the little things from kids, home made things, etc.. Now that I'm a mom, I can now say that these are the things we truly treasure. No amount of money could ever buy something that comes from the heart, or from the creativity of a loved one. Especially from your kid!

I also had a blind dog. He was so very old when he lost his sight and would wander off to places he never went before. Sometimes he would sit for a good half hour between the gate pulled next to the fence (gate was open) because he couldn't figure it out. Poor Little Bear now rests in heaven.

Giving him a knighthood equivalent would probably be a Presidential medal ... I seriously doubt Lebron would want that, at least for the next few years.... no one deserves to be name- called. And no president or leader worth his or her salt would sink to the level of name calling to attempt to make a point. It is beyond childish and ignorant. As an American, once again, I am so sorry. So, so sorry..

Many years ago, I did something similar. My parents found a dog about 5-6 years old in the middle of a Canadian winter, we couldn't keep her so they brought her to the SPCA hoping she would be claimed. I called every day, she was never claimed, then they told me she had tumors/cancer and would put her down. I said no, I'll claim her. I rented a condo, moved out of my parents house and got her. She lived until the age of 17-18 years, She was the best girl ever.

Thank you for the idea! My father is in late stage dementia. Whenever he falls asleep in his recliner (a lot) he's always dreaming about making something. His hands will move as he sleeps like he's trying to fit two things together. Sometimes he will even blurt out things like "We can't use the green ones..they're too short." I think I will get some duplo blocks for him (Have to avoid small blocks since we have a puppy in the house.)

This should be on top, voting it right away! What an extra-ordinary feat reached by mankind, People from all over world came and provided whatever help and expertise they can. A diver from entirely different county and religion died inside the cave trying to help the kids, the whole world kept holding its breath until those kids came outside. A big applaud to everyone who was part of this magnificent event of rescue in human race.

This is one of the reasons why UPS is so successful. Their drivers are always friendly and helpful.

I used to bring my parents' sick dog treats he loved every time I visit. When he died I still buy and carry those treats and give them to stray dogs.

This makes me tear up. I know its not the nices post on here but to a grieving mother, the acknowledgment of her pain in this way must mean the world. An in the political climate in which we are now living any show of love, respect, and understanding from a politician is enough to make me tear up.

Like in a pocket from a pair jeans you haven’t worn in a while. I found $20 in a pair a while back and I really needed it for gas.

During my dad's final illness, I gave up my sold-out tickets to see Journey in concert to spend the evening with him in the hospital. I joked with him for the rest of his life that he "owed" me Journey tickets. Last week, my husband took me to see Journey & Def Leppard in concert (nosebleed seats, not near as good as for the last concert but I was estatic none the less.) I swear I felt my dad presence and I know he would have been proud of my husband for "paying the debt" since he couldn't.

I do not understand how a rich country like the US does not see the obvious good in supplying basic school supplies for free to all children. These very same children are de facto the future of the country. A decent education for all is a great leveller of opportunities.

You bet it is and having supplies makes a student feel prepared and included. This country can well afford to rehab and build school buildings, provide supplies and equipment and all for the price of one or two aircraft carriers or fighter jets or the salaries of a lot of useless congressmen.
